Thanks for setting the record straight Mike! Having spoken at the event, I appreciate it very much. (By the way, I didn't mention the SPLC either).

The battle is joined at the state level on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Amendments in particular. Also Article 1 Section 10. The Fed govt response and the state's counter response to all of this will determine what kind of nation we leave to our children. It's the epic battle of our generation. Who has the courage to stand?

I probably shouldn't have made as general of a characterization of what he said as I did. Many libertarians don't seem to see government as having any redemptive qualities. My position is that govt does - when properly within its constitutional and biblical jurisdiction.

I believe the Bible supports many libertarian ideas. Self government, personal responsibility, liberty, free from coercion from man, etc. These need to be practiced within a framework of a civil society, which cannot exist if man is simply left to be completely free to do as he pleases. Natural Law will then ultimately be replaced by some interpretation of man's law.

It's a difficult question, which is why we will not have such a society until heaven. Until then, we try to do our best here on earth, and our republican form of govt. is as good as there is.

Blessings!

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?" 2 Corinthians 6:14-15

And with all the options out there, could he not find good strong Christians to help him?

Look closely at where Rick Warren is heading. He is a leader in an unbiblical ecumenical movement. This is part and parcel to his view of the church, and it is becoming more heretical each year.

David. So interesting that you referenced Numbers 13-14. I gave a sermon series recently on reworking the Grid, and that was a primary text for one of my sermons. Here's the link if you are interested.

Haven't heard anything yet. I think they're pretty busy. Sounds like they didn't get a great response.

Simultaneously we need to be working to get the Fed government people kicked out. This strategy will work!

This is a grass roots level movement that the 912 project has picked up (Glen Beck), The Campaign for Liberty and the other "main stream" patriot movements are getting on board. Spend 10 minutes and check it out.
