Mary M I agree with all you have said. I keep hearing all the whatevers on TV saying that any cuts which have been suggested would not be enough to make a difference. Well, one drop of water at a time will finally fill the bucket. What do responsible people do when they run short of money? They don't set back and say, well, that won't make enough difference. I see one slight problem with the purpoted incident. They person who allegedly chained themselves to a douglas fir stated they saw an EC135 hover ten yards off the ground. An EC135 is a civilian modification of the military EC/KC/RC 135 series aircraft. They are all buil ton the Boeing 707 or possibly the 737 air frame. That means it is a fixed wing, four fixed jet engine aircraft that is incapable of hovering at any elevation, much less 10 yards off the ground. What, was it mounted on a static display pole? I say this is a seriously salacious attack with no basis in truth.

In case they were not watching FOX NEWS, I think everyonhe who attended these rallys should send a picture of the person or their sign or both, sign and date it and send it to their reps. in Washington. Next rally do the same thing. I hear there is talk of another date, sometime around July 4, for another T. E. A. Party. Hope is is even bigger than this one. Dude, you need to go to http://www.americanuprisinginc.com/Taxes.html and get some education on what the effects of raising and lowering taxes actually does. They have all kinds of graphs and explanations for anyone to be able to understand. Bottom line is raising taxes on the rich leads to stagflation which leads to lackluster growth at best and double digit unemployment and interest rates. Lower tax rates increase tax revenues while increased tax rates decrease revenues as the rich pull their investments out of taxable interests and put them into non-taxable securities that don't help anyone. It isn't the rich pulls their money out of our country per se but put it into non-taxable interests that help no one.

Since many of our elected representatives refuse to acknowledge the power of the people and downplay the protests yesterday, lets build a new National TEA Party. The platform would be responsibility, equality, term limits and the fair tax for starters. Take tea bags with you to DC, one for the White House and one each for the Senate chamber and the House chamber. Send tea bags each week to your elected representatives letting them know this movement is not going away. Also, send tea bags to Reid and Pelosi letting them know we are not going away. We can make the tide turn.
