The Camera forgot to mention the No Flipping Rule, which bumps the owner/builder residency requirement to two years. More thoughts on this are on my blog post.

Agreed. We can support due diligence, we can encourage due diligence, but we can't be responsible for it.

From my Real Estate Meetup, here's Cmdr Tim Lewis of the Longmont Police Department talking about the signs of meth use. The videos are worth watching.

As I tell my buyers, due diligence on your home purchase should include calling the Boulder Police Department: 303-441-3333 (non emergency) and Boulder County Health Department: 303-441-1100 to check the address against a list of known meth labs.

So very sad to hear. : (

Remy was our neighbor and a lovely, sweet lady. I also would have sworn she was in her 60's, she very vibrant and youthful.

Condolences to her friends and family.

Generally, I like this idea but wonder how it will affect the availability of city services elsewhere in Boulder.

For example, will the Hill get preferential snow removal because it's funded privately? It's not an issue if the service provider isn't the city (or city arranged contractors). I just don't want to see services diminished in other parts of town because city workers are always busy picking up plastic cups in somebody's front lawn on the Hill.
