The reaction of the right wing is reminiscent of the reaction to the Vietnam War protestors in the 1960's. Many of Vietnam hawks crowd in the 1960's had bumper stickers that read "America: Love It or Leave It." People like Sean Hannity, Herman Cain, Eric Cantor etc. have no understanding of what America is all about. They do not understand that the main reason we have Freedom of Speech is to protect "political" free speech, like we are seeing with Occupy Wall Street.

I completely agree with this… "The real, pro-US solution to the problems in the Middle East is for us to end all foreign aid, stop arming foreign countries, encourage peaceful diplomatic resolutions to conflicts, and disengage militarily." Ron Paul gets it right on foreign policy issues, the Federal Reserve, and the war on drugs but gets it very wrong on the social safety net…Social Security, Medicare, etc. And, his idea (see recent Jon Stewart appearance) that no regulations are needed on Wall Street because they would police themselves in order to remain competitive is just plain silly. This idea has proved very wrong by the ongoing financial collapse that started in 2007 and, was largely brought about by the elimination of Glass Steagall rules, as well as the failure to regulate highly-leveraged derivatives.

It is the same old disgusting story, only getting worse and with the dumbed-down population and the pathetic US media the outlook for changing are imperialistic ways looks dim. The Libya scam should be obvious to all in the US, but is not. But my fellow American citizens are clueless. Libya, WMD in Iraq, the Panama invasion based on having to get "drug dealer" Manuel Noriega, The Gulf of Tonkin, the JFK murder by the CIA...it goes on and on. Aside: Notice the complete lack of coverage of the bombing of Qaddafi's son house and the killing of a son and 3 grandchildren. Where the hell is the media?
