My initial reaction to this announcement was shock and I was trying to surmise what brought this about. After a bit of thinking, I realized her resignation is a brilliant move for her. She can pursue many endeavors that would not be possible if she were the Governor of Alaska. I listened to her press conference once again and realized that Sarah is not going away, just the opposite and that she just called checkmate!!! I wish her and her family well. They have been through so much nonsense in the past year because of some very insecure and pathetic people. These people had nothing concrete against her, so they attacked her and her family viciously. She is definitely a threat to them. Sarah is everything they are not and she is avery classy and brilliant lady who has a very promising future in whatever endeavors she pursues. Go Sarah!!!!

I have to giggle a bit. lol! It would have been great to be a fly on the wall for this on! Just who did "Turbo Tax" Geithner think he was fooling? He might get away with his rhetoric in America, but the Chinese are very astute people. Mentally, they can eat him alive. A quote comes to my mind at this time by Abraham Lincoln "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time" This whole administration talked down the economy since last year and people started believing it, the media reported it and goodness you can't let a good crisis go to waste and now all of a sudden we are in good shape just because the Chinese are getting nervous. If the Chinese are nervous, just imagine how nervous we all should be and all the money that we Americans invested in with our tax dollars. If the Chinese show up with baseball bats, I am going to point them directly to Washington DC.
This is America and when in America, you do what Americans do: We pledge and salute the American Flag. If you would like a flag other than the America Flag, please fly it in the privacy of your own home and stop insulting the American Citizens. I am about tired of ungratful immigrants destroying America. We (American Citizens) welcome everyone into our home (America) and it takes a lot of nerve for outsiders to come into our home and insult us and change our ways. We have lost a lot of fellow Americans fighting for our freedom to fly Old Glory and I will not allow immigrants to take that away. If the person working at the hospital or any where else in the United States is so offended and not happy with America, I will personally pay for a one way ticket back to their home land. America, love it or leave it!
Well I think it would make sense since we probably were all exposed to it back in the 1970's. Some got sick, some didn't. As I recall, more people died from the actual swine flu shot than the flu itself. I just read an article about the H1N1 flu and how it is hitting the the younger generation much harder and that would make sense since they were not around for the initial exposure in the 1970's.
We are all on our own to take care of ourselves and all we can do to protect ourselves, our families and communities is to use common sense. Wash your hands often, get plenty of rest, drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods and fruits, avoid processed, fast food and sugary foods and drinks as much as possible (these processed and sugary items suppress our immune systems which leaves our bodies vulnerable to disease and illness), get plenty of fresh air and sunshine which is very important to our bodies. Just 15 minutes a day in the sun will help your body temendously both physically and mentally . Gather the whole family including the dog and take a walk, everyone will be happier and healthier for it and it is a great way to have "family time". Remember the old saying "an apple a day will keep the doctor away" Just these simple common sense items will build your immunities to the point where you may not get ill and if you do, you will be able to fight off illness rather quickly. If you take care of your body, your body will take care of you and you won't have to wait for or require flu immunizations.
I have to agree with you on your stance that there is not enough time to form a proper 3rd party in time for the election and I do believe you are correct in your theory of what would happen should the conservative votes be split. You are also absolutely correct in that the Republicans are the only working vehicle to control liberalism. I feel what needs to happen is we and all grassroot organizations need to come together on common ground and combine efforts and join with the Republican Party, clean up Washington and then move forward from there. It is the only way that I can see that we can logically move forward in such a short period of time.
Since Ms Pelosi has taken over the Speaker position, it was the beginning of the American downward spiral. It has been quite obvious for some time now that she had a personal vendetta against President Bush and has conducted herself in a rather unprofessional manner. Her path of destruction not only hurt President Bush, but it also hurt and affected America. She has shifted the blame for her and the democratic shortcomings on President Bush. Does she realize how childish she portrays herself to be? She has been acting like a spoiled child who has to have her own way. She has clouded her judgment with her vendetta and it is now coming to light. She should immediately be required to step down and investigated. To think a woman of this caliber is so close to the presidencey is such a shame. She now needs more than Botox to save face about now.
The Government should stay away, far away from abortion and other personal issues. I can't think of one instance of where government interference in personal lives resolved issues in a favorable light. I personally don't believe in abortion , but that is my belief and I don't want to force my beliefs on others and I expect the same mutual respect from those who believe differently. The government should be a neutral party assisting those on both sides to come to a mutual agreement. From personal experience was I glad that abortion was legal, I have to say yes. I had a life threatening medical decision that was made for me by my husband. It was my life or our baby. Personally, I had no choice in the matter and I know full well what it feels like for others to make a decision for me. I am glad that my husband was in charge of the decision making and not a bunch of strangers.
