what is disappointing to me is that the house doesn't just say "you got no budget...then we'll use the one we've passed and not one other nickle will be spent...we got the checkbook, call when you can act like an adult and have a budget to present for action.

what I would like to see is for example Ron Paul pull out of the republican primaries and go against obama as a democrat. What we've been missing is that we need to "community organize" ourselves. Make this a good fiscally sensible "approved" democrat that we run. Many republican primaries are before the democrats...vote for your republican candidate then go register as a dem and vote against obama. Beat his a$$ before he can run. Only takes half the vote and you flush out plenty of "crime" from his suddenly "tough" primary that he comes out all cut up either way! Conservatives move the conversation way to the right with this method! Don't you think that's what dems are doing with Romney?

So let's see the government TAKES $2K per month from my paycheck...then the county property tax man gets $500 per month for the pleasure of letting me live in a house I own, then I go fill up the truck and living in the land oF more natural gas than anyone...I get a $20 tax penalty at each fill up...I drink a few and pay taxes at 2X the cost of the product for my cold ones...thank God I quite smoking!

How can a government employee take the 5th and keep his job and pension? If he committed crimes on the job...and by taking the 5th he admits that, then he should be fired on the spot and have no pension...not one nickle!
Maybe people would be more accountable to their employer...the taxpayer if their future benifits are at risk for their bad behavior.

If cunningham takes the 5th congress should take his pension and any earn pension benifits as he has committed crimes while in office. Any government employee who takes the 5th on any government business should be prepared to forefit their job and retirement benifits as of that day!
