its an idea worth debate. it would have advantages and disadvantages, if we only trade with britain, is it the cost of changing currencies stopping us from trading more with the rest of the euro zone? it would make cross border trade easier and stop the flow of traffic crossing the border for bargains because the pound is weak. (it wasn't long ago we where shopping in dublin for the bargains). but would it be worth losing control of ablity to devalue the currency compared to other countries if we need to?
