Myrl, it is only your opinion that these amendments won't block all development. It is my opinion that they effectively will. It will divide the city into more than 60 fiefdoms and just a few activists in each will wield enormous power. I certainly don't like all the the development that has occurred, but the answer is to elect better council people. I couldn't disagree more with your council recommendations.

Toyotas did not accelerate unintentionally, with the single exception of the floor mat issue in one car. Toyota was extorted by the Justice Dept. BTW, I am not a Toyota fan. I have owned two and neither were particularly reliable, but the acceleration was predicable.

But what if they had added 4 more streets? This would have caused untold traffic diversion onto currently quiet streets.

Few are denying climate change. The areas of disagreement are what portion does man contribute and how great the changes will be. My beef is with the extremists who claim the sky is falling and we will have 0.7 degrees of warming per decade. There are some credible scientists who also think there will be cooling.

Aaron, you have reached the pinnacle of your intelligence. I was a college senior 50 yrs ago and just as smart and clear visioned as you. The decades since have imparted a good deal of reality that you are lacking. Things aren't as simple as they seem at first.

Well said, Todd. Folsom has been a disaster and I am not a much bigger fan of University, with the car doors opening into traffic and cyclists shooting out of the darkness at Broadway. Snow removal was not great there either. It will be difficult to get these egomaniacs to admit mistakes. The only hope is to elect totally new council and get some balance on the advisory boards.
