Another brilliant analysis from a brain-dead lefty.
Another scheme for crumbling socialist economies to raise money to finance their utopian paradises.
Governor's d**k? Did Granholm have a sex change operation? At tax payer's expense, no doubt.
Michigan is the worst run state in the union. During WWII, thousands of workers immigrated to Michigan to find jobs in the "Arsenal of Democracy". When the war ended, many of these people lost their jobs, but instead of returning to their states of origin, they stayed in Michigan and went on welfare. Welfare became a way of life in Michigan and those on it voted en masse for Democrats, who promised them more and more benefits. This is the promise of liberalism: not equal opportunity, but equal results. Work hard or don't work at all, the end result is the same. I don't think it will ever change and Michigan is doomed to remain forever an economic basket case.
Would I want to see it more than once? Most of the current crop of movies are one timers. Saw it once, can't imagine watching it again. Maybe that's the reason DVD sales are tanking. Just a thought...
Thanks, Andrew. A worthy contribution to the ghost stories of the season.
My God! You've left it wide open for "It's a Wonderful Life". Say it ain't so.
Our city in New Mexico has a drop out rate of 47%. Nearly half of all high school students drop out before graduation and NO ONE seems to care. I guess the Democrats, who hold nearly all local, state and national offices, will take care of them when they discover that they can't find employment. Keep on your son's back; he may resent it now, but he will thank you later.
It immediately became a ritual in our home to watch "A Christmas Carol" on Christmas Eve once we saw this version. George C. Scott put as much into the character of Scrooge as he did into that of George Patton.
The Democratic Party, as late as November 1864, was running a candidate for president, George McClellan, who vowed to negotiate a peace treaty with the Confederacy that would end the War Between the States and preserve slavery. Add that to your list of slavery/segregation history of the Democratic Party.
