This photo does remind one of tropical....however, I think it's telling us to think concrete jungle. That term is used for New York City as well as other large cities. I'm leaning toward "going right" from NYC to Long Island. We lived just north of Northport Long Island and it is beautiful country!

Hi all! Is everyone shivering from this cold, snow and ice? Those of you on the west coast or SE are so fortunate! We have a foot of snow on the ground and more coming down today. This is very unusual for Oklahoma City! Haven't been on here for a long time. How is everyone?

Joplays, I so agree with your idea of rescuing a dog from the shelter. All three of our dogs are from a shelter and they are so special! We have a chow/golden retriever who will be 14 in January. She is the most intelligent, intuitive dog I've ever seen! We are at the point now of having to decide how much longer we should let her stay with us. Even on pain pills, getting up and down is painful. I hate to see her suffer. As long as she has her five minutes of fun each evening, I just can't let her got yet. She and I have been through a LOT together! Good luck with your Angel!
