the bag ban is silly, if you ask me, considering how often people reuse them.

but your other examples are the result of ignorance on the behalf of the majority who voted; to vote down the stadiums, both of which are generating profits and attracting tourist dollars that benefit the local economy, was a shortsighted move by the populace. the people voting for the monorail was also ridiculous as the initial construction, maintenance and operating costs, in addition to limited ability for growth by design, was a ridiculous proposal. a train system is by far the superior design when compared to a monorail when it comes to short term and long term cost, safety, expansion, and flexibility.

sorry, but a lot of the things voters here have approved and been overturned were justified due to ignorance by the voting public resulting in poor decisions.

so you're saying that some people, in your opinion, dont have the right to free choice?

@OdramaMustGo: the constitution has no amendments in regards to marriage of gays or straights. try reading it sometime.

however, it does clearly establish the separation of church and state (the reason why our forefathers left england, remember?)

furthermore, establishment of an amendment based on any judeo-christian ideal of straights only marriage would be a violation of the constitution's requirement of separation between church and state. you'd need another reason than, "because my god says so."

therefore, your argument is patently false on both accounts.

u both have missed the obvious point of his comment. his comment means he wanted to make a statement before people who dont believe in climate change make their comments.

the OP is clearly not in the "anti-climate change" camp.

"'Mental issues' seem to get far too much credit these days when incidents like this happen.
He was probably just a rotten, evil, criminal-minded person whose true nature revealed itself today..."

ok, so you're saying that a person who is this way is normal?

*facepalm*

people like you who equate nudity with sexuality disgust me. if you have children, i hope you bathe them fully clothed, otherwise you're a paedophile by your own rationale.

i used to when i was younger. now? meh.

but in this case, i find the extreme display of integrity in honoring his lost wager to be hilarious yet much to respect.

if only the majority of our society still carried a sense of honor and at least knew what the definition of "integrity" is.
