I could see how the skit would maybe be offensive to someone who was the victim of sexual violence. That being said, if I remember correctly, there was fair warning that the skit was coming and that attendance wasn't mandatory.
Just imagine loud music and her TAs dressed in stereotypical prostitute outfits. So you have everything from "classy" escorts to "trashy" street girls being dragged around by a pimp.
Objectionable? Probably. Stereotypical? Yes. Worthy of being fired? Not in my opinion. Regardless of my feelings on Patti, you should be able to push the line a little in a college course.

I agree as well. I took her class as a sophmore, maybe junior after everyone convinced me it was the best class at CU to take. I'm liberal myself so I didn't mind her bashing of conservatives so much haha.
But, what did I learn? Not much. For those of us who don't live in a bubble, none of the material in the class was that groundbreaking. What's worse is that because she lived with a drug dealer 30 years ago and turned it into an academic paper and apparently "invented" this subject of deviance, she couldn't stop patting herself on the back.
The constant peddling of her book left a very sour taste in my mouth. Fortunately, I went with an old version and had no problem accessing the one updated article. I never in my time at CU saw another professor try so hard to make me purchase the new copy of a textbook.

Al kind of seems like he was surprised. That's usually what happens when a new coach takes over an underachieving team. I'm not saying that all of the coaches on the previous staff are bad coaches, some like Tui, Cabral, and Kennedy would probably warrant consideration for a position on the new staff, but new coach almost always equals new staff.

Defensive coach who had a prolific offense this year, I like this guy.

"Solich is the only person involved in the search for the next coach who won't really have anyone to answer to"

That includes you Ringo. What he does with his own money is his own business, I'm just glad he chooses to invest it in CU.

I think this would be great hire for CU, especially with the money they are talking about spending on the coaching staff and facilities. I hope to god this works out or else we'll be somewhat embarrassed. Have to think we have Mendenhall or Derutyer in the back pocket so we could quickly name a coach if this falls through.

I think Dillon is considered a leader of the team, especially with the younger players. Also, maybe irrelevant, but Dillon, as mentioned in the dp, chose CU over Cincy so he might have a relationship with Jones prior to today.

According to rivals, Embree's classes ranked 74, 36, and if you count this year (technically haven't lost any commits yet), currently ranked 64 behind such powerhouses as Tulane. That's not exactly what I'd call good recruiting, especially considering the best class has a somewhat inflated ranking due to signing 27 players. All things considered, it's not terrible recruiting, but is, at best, on par with recent Cincy classes. I think that's where we went wrong with Embree, we figured his recruiting would make up for his inexperience.

The ultimate catch 22, you must win to recruit and recruit to win. This is actually why I think butch is a good candidate, wins with less than spectacular recruiting classes. Like his former player, Derek Wolfe on the broncos said, he gets the best out of each player, something neither Hawk or Embree was able to do.

Woody Paige is reporting that we are on the verge of offering him $2.7 million a year. He seems to actually have the best sources inside the search right now, called our interest in Butch before anyone else and now has what sounds like pretty solid info regarding his visit to Boulder.
