You have a future as an author of fiction if you ever choose to pursue it.

Anyone who votes republican is certifiably insane, or really wealthy.

"I haven't heard any, 'Oh, no, don't do this.'"

Hey Lisa- "OH, NO, DON'T DO THIS."

You and the rest of the city council have demonstrated your incompetence in the Folsom Street fiasco, which you still won't admit is a mistake (or, god forbid, rectify). How can you and your cohorts be trusted to handle something as complex as this?

Cops and politicians who break the Law must be held to a higher standard of justice for violating the trust we as citizens place on them. Failure to uphold this trust is deserving of additional punishment through specific laws. This fellow, if found guilty, deserves a long vacation in Flo Max.

"climate change goals"

Creating traffic jams runs exactly counter to the stated goals of reaching "climate change goals." The reality is that people uses car, motorcycles, and trucks to get around town. Transportation planners in this town spend millions of dollars (see: Arapahoe Ave. between 63rd and 75th Streets) to make basic driving more congested in the hopes that this will get people out of their vehicles. And yet simply driving around town clearly demonstrates that this has not, and does not work. Period.

Since the BCC and transportation planners are starting with an agenda, rather than a clear and neutral view of the transportation challenges of Boulder, the projects they implement are narrowly-focused and counter-productive to the goal of meeting"climate change goals." Two weeks ago in an article in this paper, we were told that "adjustments" would be made on Folsom to ease traffic- no such changes have been made. Until the BCC and their lap dogs in the transportation department change their agenda, they will continue to be hounded by the people who are simply trying to live their lives.

The revelation that an email campaign organized by a well-funded lobbying group influenced (provided and excuse) for the BCC to act in the manner they did is clear evidence that the people on council are blatantly incompetent. At this point I cannot believe anything numbers or statistics the BCC provides in this or any transportation discussion, because they have zero credibility.

If nothing else, I am waiting for the first good El Nino snowstorm of the year, when the city's own plows will take out those ridiculous sticks on Folsom.

BCC- A bunch of self-serving A-holes.

Folsom Street - A traffic jam waiting to happen.

Boulder Bike Riders- Still not wearing helmets, still not signaling.

The key error that is not being acknowledged is that the new street configuration DOES NOT WORK for the vast majority of users. Period. End of discussion.

The people for bikes mouthpiece wants us to "give it more time," thinking we'll forget how insane this whole thing is. News flash Tim- we're going to keep complaining until this BS gets changed to the old street configuration. You can stuff your "metrics" just above your bike seat, I don't need metrics to know that a traffic jam is being caused by the new street configuration when I'm sitting through yet another red light.

The planners who thought this was a good idea should be fired. The BCC should be voted out of office. I've lived in and around Boulder for 29 years and this is asinine beyond anything that the city has ever implemented.

PS- How about turning lights/arrows at 9th & Canyon, geniuses, do something to make that intersection safe and bring it into the 21st Century.

The idea was asinine to begin with, that the people responsible for this travesty are unable to acknowledge the fact that they are wrong on every level only compounds the problems. The longer they refuse to admit their mistakes and correct them, the more reason to heap scorn and invective upon them. Mouth-breathing imbeciles- every one of our transportation planners and city council members.

Don't insult Frackistan? They wanted to secede from the State of Colorado, not the US, but neither Wyoming nor Nebraska would have them. Between poisoning their own wells, and their secessionist movement, they have zero claim to intelligent action.
