I was really looking forward to seeing Nicole Kidman in a Woody Allen picture. Especially if it turned out to be a comedy!
I feel Kidman rarely pulls her comedy strings and a Woody Allen film could be the best way for an actress to express such talent.
I am, however, intrigued by his new choice...

Technically, The Riddler isn't a C- or D-list super-villain. The fact that most people know who he is immediately disavows that.
Characters like Captain Cold or The Trickster, those are C-list. Pretty much most of The Flash's villains, unfortunately.

I've actually been hoping to see this movie for the last 2 years, back when it was called 5-25-77. It always looked better to me than FANBOYS and I cant wait to check it out!
I'm just glad that they're finally releasing it. I've been watching that exact same trailer since '07!

You know, I really don't like this new look for Superman and Jimmy Olsen.

I don't feel that a sequel involving CG-animated characters versus 2D cartoons would work. Mainly b/c one of the things that was GREAT about WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT was that it took place in the '40s - a time when cartoons were important to the film industry. Back when "Merrie Melodies" used to play in the theatre before the feature started.
If this were being made by the same Robert Zemeckis from 20 years ago, I'd be all for it. But "'80s Zemeckis" is very different from "present day Zemeckis"...

They've been doing that for a while now...

I think if we go by a numbers game, Marvel has more bad films than DC does.
DC: Superman III & IV, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Supergirl, Catwoman.
Marvel: The Punisher (1989 & 2004), Nick Fury, Howard the Duck, Daredevil, Hulk, X-Men: The Last Stand, Fantastic Four, FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider...I'm sure I'm missing some more.

I've always enjoyed DC Comics characters more than Marvel's, though I am a fan of both. The DC Universe - to me, at least - though their characters are more "god-like", have always been what I want out of a comic book story: heroic.
DC characters have always been what mankind should strive to be. Their characters are still flawed and, even (or, especially) with a character like Superman, human. Though he is an alien from a distant planet, his biggest character weakness has never been Kryptonite, but his belief in humanity.

I could not disagree with Joss Whedon any more than I do on this subject.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was canceled by The WB and picked up by Paramount and put on UPN. And "Angel" was too.
I love Joss Whedon, but his shows do get canceled an awful lot. Despite being critical successes...

He didn't drop off the Wonder Woman film. DC let him go to move in another direction.

That has to be the worst title I've ever heard for a Superman film!
It makes Superman sound more like...The Hulk. There is no need to "unleash" Superman! SUPERMAN RETURNS was a great Superman film. The title alone makes me thing that this movie will be ungodly awful...
