The pre-order numbers are based on Xbox 360 versus Xbox 360... that is Halo 4 XBOX 360 and Black Ops II XBOX 360. The 1,101,749 for Black Ops II excludes the counts for PS3 and PC versions; therefore, in the pre-order arena on the Xbox 360 platform, Halo is losing by 100,592 units.

But as the author says, "this is subject to change in the coming weeks." Again, the pe-order numbers are not indicative of the overall sales in units. Overall, Black Ops II will sale more units being multiplatform, though it will be interesting to see the overall sales of Halo 4 against its competition with ONLY Xbox 360's Black Ops II.

Bungie, thanks for talking/showing the development process for Reach at PAX...the game has surely come a long way. The reason I love buying the limited/collector's editions is watching the DVD bonus content of the development stages a game goes through before the final code is release. Watching the behind the scene content makes one appreciate the blood and sweat developers go through just for us. The stuff talked/showed at PAX only fuels my excitement more.

I have put my money on the Limited Edition flavour of Halo Reach...interested in reading the good doctor's journal.

Good Luck at launch (your luck is as good as Master Chief's)

I am glad REACH is now a 'GO'...in just a few weeks, this great battle of the Human-Covenant War on planet Reach will be spinning in my Xbox360. Loving the books THE FALL OF REACH and FIRST STRIKE (by Eric Nylund), it is really exciting from the creators of Halo bringing this battle history of Halo to its fans.
