Seeing Chris Bosh mature has been one of the most amazing developments to appreciate as a sports fan. From a rookie who shed tears on the bench when the team was in their lowest moment, we have seen him rise and carry the team to postseason contension twice. Basketball and philanthrophy are arts which Chris Bosh has clearly mastered. He has gained a connection with the fans through youtube and his own endeavours with the media in this city. I could sit here and talk about how Toronto needs him because of the charity work he has done; donating 1 million dollars to a Toronto charity or setting up his foundation to help set up after school programs for kids around the city. But the truth is that Chris Bosh would do these things for any other city he played for without seeking much recognition - it speaks to who he is. The bigger truth, and Chris probably won't realize this until later in his career, is that in many ways Chris Bosh needs Toronto as much as Toronto needs him.
