Antidotes for Alinsky's rules:

Rule 5: Fight Ridicule with crickets and/or isolation ("we don't think it's funny, there must be something wrong with your unfunniness"

Rule 11: Fight polarization with neo-Voltairism - "I may not support what you are doing, but you have every right to do it and we will stand up for you."

Rule 6: Make them work for it. The shortest distance to a goal is a straight line, we need to "unstraighten" it.

For example, there is a Flickr user who has pictures of Tea Party "misspellings." I showed this to my left leaning friends, who at first laughed. When I corrected them, shamed them and isolated them by pointing out that if you do not respect others, you cannot respect yourself, you could hear crickets. Hard to argue.

I think our Alinskyites actually need parental figures. Treating them like children, chastising bad behavior. Pointing out that bully's tend to have an emotional void and probably bad parents, etc. is my solution. Your mileage may vary.

How do you verify if this is true?

Looks incomplete?

Why is Obama continuing warrant-less wiretaps? And considering extending the policy to domestic only calls? Why is going back on his word on transparency and "state-secrets"? Why are we still sending troops to war? 20K+ more to Aghanistan, in Iraq until at least next year with an open ended security agreement? Why is Obama seeking control of the Internet? Did you know that he wants the power to shut down ISPs in the event of an "emergency", which of course is never spelled out? Why is Treasury talking about seizing control over any company it deems unworthy, even if it doesn't take stimulus money? Why does the stimulus bill take away states's rights? This is not my fantasy, it is your fantasy that it is not happening. Ask yourself the question, how did the Germans ever become Nazis? They had useful idiots like you enabling the chancellor.

Just to belabor my point.

1. Jeffersons letter that is the foundation of the argument of separation of Church and State is the equivalent of a speech or letter from a contemporary politician (Though I suspect Jefferson had more integrity).

2. The "journals" that you referred to are copied into the legislation, The committee appointed to prepare a recommendation to these states, to set apart a day of thanksgiving, brought in a report; which was agreed to as follows.

First the point being whoever claims that the United States was not founded on Judaeo-Christian principles and beliefs was woefully deficient of evidence, short of a letter from Jefferson, similar to your speech argument.

Second, the wording and invocation of G-d and Jesus Christ in government documents is evidenced in most of the founding texts, discussions, meeting notes, etc. To ask for evidence of the founding of this country on principles of this religion and then to ignore the tomes of evidence that exist in the Library of Congress and settle on a singular note from Jefferson is dishonest. And on Jefferson's opinion, there are many writings from him, even as a Deist, , that far from discount the need, but actually support the idea, for a national religion, just not one proscribed by the government,

Sorry, but these are not journals of a particular politician:

Mr. [William] Clingan, a delegate from Pensylvania, attended and took his seat.

Congress proceeded to the choice of a president; and, the ballots being taken,

The Honble. Henry Laurens was elected.1

[Note 1: 1 Roberdeau wrote: "Henry Laurens, Vice President of South Carolina, a worthy, sensible, indefatigable Gentleman, was this day chosen by a unanimous vote, except his own, President of Congress." Pennsylvania Archives, First Series, V, 735.]

The committee appointed to prepare a recommendation to these states, to set apart a day of thanksgiving, brought in a report; which was agreed to as follows ... (then the text)

Every year we celebrate Cinco de Mayo - this year, as last year we will celebrate it. Makes the Mexicans mad around my parts. But instead of tacos, I think Burger King Whoppers and Margheritas will be on the menu. This from a country whose national anthem should be La Cucaracha.

Notice this ain't happening in Texas? I feel sorry for how helpless those folks felt in Binghamton. If only the mere threat of someone having a weapon existed in that scenario. And this guy thinks he's a comedian using these unfortunate events to advance his agenda. Funny how no-gun-zones become free-fire-zones while defenseless citizens are attacked.

Good luck getting the warhead, if you got that kind of money, be sure the Obama Administration will tax you until you can't afford it.

BBC - State sponsored socialist media.
NPR - State sponsored socialist media
NYT - Soon to be State sponsored, but even before it receives its "bailout", socialist media.

Echo Chamber anyone?
