I can't wait to hear/see the Girls Night Out show. With those top ladies of country...I know it will be amazing!
Alison Krauss has a voice like an angel. Pure tone, pure solid singing. Dan just has that voice that makes you listen as well and have you think of the past and the hard times of living. The whole band plays their instruments like it's second nature. A + all around. Buying this CD as soon as my credit card goes to the next cycle : )
I only said that because so many people were "hating" on Carrie. I thought I'd remind them of Taylor's song "Mean" and that Carrie could definitely write one too with some of the comments on here.
Well, Taylor did a great job with "Mean" so mmmmmmmm..maybe Carrie should write a song, "Mean to me too!"
Oh most lifestyle sites today: Reba, Carrie, Taylor, and Julianne are some of the winners. Unfortunately, Miranda was not with this white, beautiful gown. They love Miranda, "The country sweetheart" but say the top was not fitted properly, as she "exposed" daringly some of her finer assets. They said Miranda on the carpet felt very uncomfortable as well and kept messing with the top.
It was definitely a party of a show with something for everyone. My favorite performances were Keith Urban, Darius Rucker and the special needs choir that brought a tear to everyone's eyes. Also, Miranda and once Toby settled down..well, I like that song. Sara was a bit nervous at the start (who can blame her being absent so long for good reasons) but she settled in too and it was nice for the country community to stand up and tell her "Welcome Back". I don't think anyone was surprised at the awards with the exception of album. I thought it would be a "Speak Now" vs. "The Guitar Song" face off. Taylor deserved Entertainer of the year and she made definitely sure by leaving cards on the seats of her Europe tour audience, with the website where to go to vote for her. I also have noticed that Taylor's voice has now matured and no one can say she can't sing now. Carrie with Steven Taylor was definitely a fun time, although I personally was hoping that Carrie's surprise partner was Brad and they would sing their new song "Remind Me". Overall..a little bit country, and little bit Rock and Roll.
Harley is now writing songs for those great country singers of the past. Yes, He's in Country Heaven! My prayers are with his family and friends who will miss him here on earth.
