Exactly. Keep the pressure up, they have more tricks up their sleeve and we have to prevent this HCB or anything like it from becoming law; the people of this country do not want it. And we are getting tired of being told what to do by a bunch of professional politicians.

My wife, a doctor, saw this coming 20 years ago. Your comment is off point. The problem is not welfare, its statist welfare. Its creating a group of people who do nothing but collect welfare; for whom welfare is seen as a right and not a handout. The problem is creating a group of welfare recipients so that their votes can be locked in. Helping the needy is one thing, welfare statism is another. And the Alaska cash for oil program is not welfare, its distribution of state oil revenue to state citizens, all of them. What, you would rather have a few rich sheiks in Alaska.
