Aaah...so she is. We should have caught that. Some of the most beautiful and captivating women I've ever met have been from Trinidad. And smart too. Now I've met Trinidadians who look (to my ignorant American eyes) like they're straight from the continent of India and you would just accept that is where they're from(or Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc) until they start speaking with a Caribbean accent. I have a friend who is mistaken to be Indian all the time, even by Indians and she's from Jamaica (and an exquisitely beautiful woman). I don't think the world is fully cognizant of how much Caribbean people and culture are influenced by India as a result of several waves of migrations from India to the Caribbean and central America, during and after colonial times. Thanks for the addendum Racq. And for the reminder that I need to be sure and find myself at Carnival the next time it comes round.
