A few years latter when we started the paperwork we were told the same. It was only after we filed the last paperwork 11 days after his 21st birthday that we were told he would have to wait. The military determined that in order to keep the country safe this was the only option they could take. They did what they are sworn to do, defend and protect Honduras. The reason that Honduras has seen so little support from the rest of the world has much to do with press calling it a coup from day one. Zelaya is a criminal and the press and even our own government have portrayed him as a victim. Imagine him sitting in jail with thousands of people protesting for his releases, the Venezuelan army massing on the boarder and the UN caving to the socialist of Central and South America I think the world would have a much dimmer view of them. The Government of Honduras will deal with its military on this as they should. The point is is that he was legitimately removed from office and the Honduran people will not back down from that.
