That's not at all what they are asking. They are asking for it to be illegal for someone to ask them to stop doing something legal. Let's frame the same concept another way: Should smokers be allowed to file complaints against people that ask them to stop smoking when they are doing it legally?

You don't need more legislation, just stand up for your rights and grow thicker skin.

Not if they let you keep opening up new ones. Do the math on this one - if you charge $800 per month for daycare per child, they are grossing around $20K per month. To underfeed, ignore, neglect and use punishment that some people disagree with without regard to the parents normal rule enforcement consequences.

Take it to the extreme: You can do what you want, but you are responsible for your actions. Take out the old world mentality of sunrise to sunset work, and why should we put time restrictions on behavior we tolerate at other times? It's legal to have a drink from 6 AM to 2 AM, but if your schedule is different and your post work beer is at 4 AM, no pub for you.

I am not suggesting making all things legal, but what is legal at certain times sounds like it should be legal at all times.

Make sure you understand it's some Seattle voters, not all of us. There are those of us here who still support the death penalty, still fight for just laws and right government. Those of us who stay and fight rather than just give up hope and flee the city.

It's a city full of young college idealists who haven't gotten to the stage of realism yet. They need to be nurtured, not condemned and abandoned.
