I also believe there is another group of people -- those who wish to profit from Boulder "for what it is". In the process, they turn it into something "it is not" and something the residents do not want.

Those powerful forces have be slowly changing Boulder over the past several years while we were not watching. Too bad, we have to watch so closely to prevent our leaders for doing things we do not want.

Somewhere in the City Council or City Staff offices there must be a map or list of city streets that they consider "Wrong Sized".

The Boulder Daily Camera should secure and publish that information so the "lab rats" of Boulder know just what additional "experiments" are planned for them. Some of us want to plan for those experiments on us.

Don't forget, if Google actually vacates the office space they currently occupy, someone else will most likely back fill it. I don't think it will be torn down and converted to park (or parking) space.

Yep, we made that decision back in the 70's. Continue what we started then and limit growth.

Some of us like to look at mountains rather than buildings.

Thanks for doing this for the citizens of Boulder. It's a shame that development forces have taken over the city and the citizens must take it back in this manner.

"Augmester" sounds like a great plan. It's nice to see the University of Colorado looking at new ways to better utilize its staff and facilities while providing more education opportunities for its students.

I agree with you. I've been here since '66. I like the view. I like the single use zoning. I don't want to mix shopping, working, entertainment, etc with my "family space".

Yes, we should "Stand In The Way Of What Others Call Progress"!

Yes, I agree. You and others missed my satire.

I consider our single use zoning of neighborhoods to be functional. However, those who do not want us to impact the earth, consider single use neighborhoods to be dysfunctional since, we must travel from home to shop, work and seek entertainment.

Putting everything in one place limits our travel and impact on the earth. However, it sure makes life boring.

Yes, but the initiatives will inhibit the city's ability to turn what some people consider "dysfunctional neighborhoods" into "functional neighborhoods".

Shall we stand in the way of progress?

If the initiatives get on the ballot, the election will be a real test of what the citizens of Boulder want the city to become.
