You forgot: Why does God only speak to some persons and everyone else has to rely on those persons words to believe in Him. If He truly wanted to prove His existence why not just talk to everyone around the world and say: Here I am. Now worship me in the ways I taugh the profets.

I agree with you in that this war is getting more media attention than any other but I disagree with the legitimacy. And I'm not going to give you either the Nazi example or Iraq or say that the Muslims want to take over the world (agree with you), I'll point out the Russia-Tchetchenia conflict. I'm pretty sure that everyone here unless he or she is russian, will agree with Tchetchenia's independence however they too employ terrorist attacks like the 2004 one in that school of Beslan. However everyone distinguishes those terrorist from the Tchetchenian people and what's happening in Gaza is that Israel is failing miserably at doing that: we know from the U.N. that they attacked that U.N. school even though there were no Hamas combatants there and they are seizing the opportunity to field test DIME weaponry on this war and that kind of weaponry is not precise but rather a scatter weapon capable of killing everyone in it's range. Israel could have very well launched high precision missiles to Hamas' positions in response to the rockets without having to invade another country's territory. Last time I checked Israel had the Mossad, the best intelligence service of the world to do that. Invading Gaza is an excessive response.
As for the coverage of this war by the media and not of the other wars that is very much the U.S.A.'s fault. Just look at your presidential campaign: McCain accusing Obama of not supporting Israel and Obama quickly responding by making a video with a small Israeli flag on the background. The fault of this is the Christians fundamentalists who support the Jewish people just because they view all Muslims as evil, as these people are a great part of the votes in America so the biased media needs to focus on this issue for political use even after an election (there are still people trying to get Obama impeached I believe?).

I am also an Atheist, I am not pro-Palestine or pro-Israel, just pro-Peace. And it's not by excessive response that this is going to be attained in the Middle-East.
I can see you are very proud about your Jewish ancestry but you need to see things from a little more impartial view.
