If Mr. Hoover were still alive today, I can assure you than many people in politics now, wouldn't be. To wit; Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Joe Biden, Charlie Rangel and any number of the sleazy, un-American hacks we have now.
In "The Secret Files Of J. Edgar Hoover" (a fine film, by the way), Broderick Crawford, as Hoover, discusses the gay rumors with Tolson, played by Dan Dailey. He refers to the rumors as, "...the old communist smear".
It is a well known communist tactic to smear opponents as homosexual.
In the final analysis, why is Barney Frank "gay" but J. Edgar Hoover a "dirty fag"?

Great clip. I must say, however, the young lady is so much more sympathetic than the obnoxious, bigoted OWS crowd. I would probably see her as misguided or overly idealistic. At least she seems like someone you could converse with. Unlike the rabble of OWS.

The hat reminds me of Eddie Murphy in "48 Hours".
