"I'm done with it."

No, son. I'm afraid you're stuck with this for the rest of your life. Actions have consequences, and so do words. You may want to consider growing up at some point.

The "democratic" mask has been ripped off the socialists who call themselves the Democratic Party of the United States . . . events in Wisconsin have clearly and unambiguously revealed them for what they truly are.

"This is what democracy looks like!"

Yes.

That's why America's founding fathers had the wisdom to create a republic, not a democracy. Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.

Rule #1 of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club.
Rule #2 of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club.

Similarly . . .

Rule #1 of Ground Zero is you don't talk about Ground Zero.

Levi appears to be the stupid one in the family. And he's not even in the family (which, in my mind, is evidence supporting my proposition that he's stupid.)

Let's see . . . politically powerful and increasingly influential and wealthy potential mother-in-law . . .
. . . reasonably attractive, apparently fairly bright and rational potential wife (except of course where Levi is concerned, apparently) . . .
. . . daughter, born of that potential wife, that at some point in Levi's sorry excuse for a life he may actually want to see again (I mean in person, not on TV) . . .

. . .

Yep, Levi's the stupid one . . . He definitely does not appear to be smart enough to be a Palin . . .

(You have to marvel at Todd's self-control, because the man has not just completely kicked man-child Levi's ass from Wasilla to Washington by now . . .)

The amazing thing is how much media coverage this ridiculous (and as others have noted, infantile) publicity stunt has garnered. I did wonder why such a lame, desperate thing got so much attention, and suspected that it was an astroturf effort, backed by "well-placed sources."

I see that my suspicions were well-founded.

The "progressives" ARE in panic mode, aren't they?

Well, two suburbs of Kansas City are Liberty and Independence. Of course, another one is named Peculiar, so there you go . . . <grin>

I had my momentary flush of anger, like most of us in the liberty community, when I heard of the NAACP's resolution, but it was rapidly replaced with an overwhelming feeling of sadness for the rather pathetic worldview of the NAACP.

I don't think that the left realizes that the word "racist" after the last few years of shrill screeching now elicits a response from freedom-lovers somewhere between the 'giggle factor' that you'd get if you accused someone of being the adopted child of alien methane-breathers from Zorko V, and a response quite similar the one that blacks offer when non-blacks use the 'n' word. Sometimes we experience both responses at the same time. Which is a weird feeling.
