Uhhh............I actually like materialism. Although, I must admit, epistemology is a damn hard field. You can spend your entire life in that particular field. I have never heard of the guy. I thinks it is because of what you said : "Steiner may be ridiculed by the more rational among us, especially the evangelists of materialism". The United States loves analytic philosophy and sticks very close to pragmatism/materialism. I did notice Ahriman Jesus. I only know Ahriman and Jesus from literature. I guess my question is, do you have any suggestions for material on this guy and wouldn't frighten me off hand by being too esoteric and mystic?

I had no idea about our nuclear plants having such technology. That is very interesting. I just wondering if countries who are broke will have access to that technology. Where is the IAEA when you need them? Oh yeah, they are being bitched around by the UN.

The book sounds interesting. Gaia theory does sound very interesting. My only question is "What does string theory have anything to do with Gaia theory?". I thought string theory was a theory that helped explain events leading to the big bang? Then again, I don't have a physics degree. Another interesting part is the mention of Chernobyl. It had minor immediate casualties. The unfortunate thing is that the Chernobyl region now has a higher than average birth rate defect and a decrease in life-span for the people in the affected (is that right? I keep on messing up on the whole affect/effect shit. It drives me nuts) area. The full repercussions of Chernobyl have yet to be explored. As for the whole green energy thing and CO2 emissions; it seems interesting, although my knowledge is limited in that area as well. As for the sunspot speculation; that does appear interesting. My knowledge being limited to the intro to astronomy class I took with Dr. Tyson, it would be interesting to see if there is a communication of sorts between celestial bodies. Unfortunately, for me, it seems unlikely (but this is a throw back to psychology. I tend to see disconnect while you tend to do the opposite). I do enjoy the power humanity is now afforded by the author's comments. I think humanity can achieve g/dhood if they try hard enough. That's my own personal megalomaniacal neurosis.
