The NJEA really has a stranglehold on New Jersey. I remember hearing Chris Christie say in another video that teachers in New Jersey that DON'T want to be a member of the union have to PAY something like 80% of union dues to be OUT of the union. THAT should be illegal and definitely should be stopped.
Anyone who loves their kids would not put them in the hands of the people on that video.
This isn't "healthcare reform". It's tyranny. These people are confusing "health care" with health insurance. The woman who was the most vocal who said she had health insurance is probably a government employee - I would guess a teacher. They should have asked them what they did for a living.
Maybe the book was "The Road to Serfdom" by F.A. Hayek.
This isn't a story, silly butt.
You know what, if ANY of those climate-crazy people practiced 1/10 of what they preached, it might convince some (not me) to agree with them. But people aren't stupid forever. Just like the idiots are waking up to the mistake of electing BHO into office, they have long ago awakened to the hypocrisy of AlGore and his carbon-spewing lifestyle. They are still indoctrinating the children in the public schools, though, which needs to be stopped.
As far as I'm concerned, Arnold the RINO deserves what he gets, and the nuts in California deserve what they get. He's made his bed all these years and made piss poor decisions for the state, trying not to rock the boat, so he would get re-elected. Lately he's been out grovelling to the feds for money with a, "Hey, you gonna eat that?" attitude (speaking of his statements that if some states don't want their money, CA will take it). He needs to buck up and tell the truth and talk to people like adults, like Chris Christie.
Yawn. Nah, Christine isn't the crazy one. Look in the mirror.
It's time we caught up with the technology. Kids are still wasting this wonderful technology we have (the Internet) on "social" networks and gaming. Let's harness it. Good teachers can teach online classes to children far, far away, and make a lot of money, without owing anything to a union. Parents can choose what classes their child takes. We homeschool and my kids have taken a few online classes via CurrClick.com. I'm sure there are other places. If Superman is such a good math teacher, he should be all for this.
Yeah, you hear this all the time. "Let's work together!" without giving any specifics of what parents are supposed to do to make their schools better. They do not want parents physically on school grounds. Oh, you can come in for a little while and staple papers or cut out bulletin board pictures - but just try to have a say in your child's education at most public schools. You can't.
Public education is a fiscal black hole. No matter how much you put in, the leeches at the teacher's unions want more-more-more. There will NEVER be enough money to make the schools better - - NEVER, I tell you! The unions are just political machines and care nothing about the kids and care little about the teachers. Put 'em on the road. Kick 'em to the curb. Privatize all education and get rid of this dinosaur called public education in America.
