Sad to see Amazon buckle to intimidation. Billionaire George Soros is trying to buy our social imprisonment.

If you read the article it clearly stated that he was not running unopposed. He had three other challengers on the ballot. (Albeit, the others have dropped out).

As usual, the AP conveniently left these little factiods out of the article:

Romney still did much better than the president did. Obama only received 58% of the Democrat vote in Arkansas. He lost 42% of the vote to a relatively unknown challenger, John Wolfe
http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/AR/39376/...

The president had almost the exact same reults in Kentucky, but looks worse. He lost 42% of the Democrat vote to "uncommitted". http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/KY/38672/...

This is the best one. Obama only took 59% of the Democrat vote in the West Viginia primary. The other candidate took 41% of the vote. The other candidate (Keith Judd) is an inmate in a Texas prison! http://apps.sos.wv.gov/elections/results/results....

All the links are to official state election division websites.

What people should be asking themselves is "Why isn't any of this reported in the news?" You know it would be reported had this been Bush. But because it's a democrat they won't even think of mentioning it. You really can't trust everything you read, because only half of the story is reported anymore.

Yep. We spend more per student in our public schools than many private schools can dream of charging but we get little to nothing in return. I don't doubt that most teachers want to do their level best for the students but the unions have continually watered down what the teachers are allowed to do.

Nice try at deception there. Or I suppose you may actually be brain washed well enough to actually believe it. What your little pie chart doesn't show is that we are still spending more on education today than we ever have. The ratio to spending on other things is completely irrelevant. Even though we throw more and more money at our schools, the education our children are receiving is getting worse and worse. You can thank the greedy unions for ruining education in this country. Getting the unions out of our schools is the only answer. Until then things will continue to decline.

Agreed. The things mikeyboypdx cited happened nearly 100 years ago. The unions served their purpose and have just been decaying and taking advantage of businesses and the taxpayers with public employee unions ever since. It's almost criminal when they take advantage of school districts like this.

I agree with some of the comments of others here. Fire them all Reagan-style and hire good teachers that actually want to work and teach children. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to work for what these teachers are already being paid. These teachers don't deserve to be paid, given their past performance. Let's find teachers that DO want to teach.

I think a more accurate label would read "Financed by China, paid with the future tax slavery of your children and grandchildren."

And we continue to whistle past the graveyard, where the old USA (you know the one. The one where we all used to be free to succeed or fail on own own) is buried.

I'm afraid you are correct. The only thing that will ever come out of the UNSC will be another stern warning, watered down by China and Russia, nothing more

More money borrowed from China that our future generations will have to figure out how to pay back. We're mortgaging our future away for pleasantries today. Makes me sick.

N. Korea has had nuclear weapons for several years. That's an accepted fact. They have had at least two verified successful nuclear tests. They only have about a dozen or less of the weapons though and little ability to produce more. What they are trying to do now is find a way to deliver them long-range, (i.e. to the U.S.).

Fortunately, they seem to have no idea how to build a working rocket of any kind, much less an ICBM.
