I was born in Lakewood & lived in Parma until we moved to California. I had many relatives who either worked at Ford or in the police department. I agree, until there's a change in "management", things will never get better. May I suggest you watch the video series on Reason.tv- Reason Saves Cleveland. A blueprint for prosperity that no one will ever use, unfortunately.
I thought it was a great commercial. It is made to sell. Sell ideas & product. But I have to agree with you in regards to what you say about Detroit. Being a Clevelander I see the same thing. Its a mess & with much sadness I say that it will never be what it was. I just don't see it if the residents keep voting in the same jokers that have detroyed it.
The same way they excuse & cover for the Middle East/Islam's treatment of women.
Pedophilia, really? Come on. The character may be 100 in agr,but he still looks like a 17yr old kid. I don't seem him looking for someone closer to his age.
I had the same problem with PR as well. But that was the 1st of her movies that I had seen. I did like her in Welcom to the Rileys, though. As far as her parent's go, I think until she reached her majority, her Dad pushed her alot. I've read few interviews with him. He seemed to be a real jerk.
I have to disagree with many assesments on Kristen Stewarts acting abilities. I thought she was excellent in The Cake Eaters and Into the Wild.
Thanks for posting the trailer. I didn't know one was out yet. It looks pretty entertaining.
I had to say that the 1st episode was a bit risque, but FX has been moving this way for some time now, so it is to be expected. I put off watching the next episode, "Home Invasion", because I was really not interested in seeing another butt shot of Mr McDermott. But I gave in last night & I have to say it was more than I expected. Much more scary, intense. I loved the late '70s early 80s slashers-just enough blood & guts, not overly gorry. So the thing with the girl in the house & the nurse did not seem out of place, it really fit in to what I am starting to expect from this "house of horrors". Episode 3 was even better. I find myself actually anticipating the next episode to see what other bad things have happened in this house. People can be bad & people can be good. I think we all have some fascination or desire to understand why people do the vile things they do, some vouyeristic compulsion to watch it played out before our eyes.
So sad to hear of his passing. I had a great English teacher who had my class read "Flowers for Algernon" & then recommended we see the film Charly. I was never happier to take up that recommendation. One of my most favorite tear jerkers!
