That is why it is easier to imagine she gave the child away...but the logistics of that are crazy! who would hide such a secret under such scrutiny? that would take some serious planning, one doesnt just find a person willing to take an 8 year old child. I always thought that she likely killed him on a rage but with all indications that it was planned, I'm left with the idea that she gave the child away, however illogical. very puzzling. she is definitely a sociopath. I dont know of anybody that thinks a stepmother is capable of killing a child. People suspected her because of her behavior (got to "hit the gym") sexting a lover just weeks after child goes missing, cell phone records not matching her story, and failing two polygraphs. As to raising him, yes I agree it sounds implausible. But some people who are sociopaths do this: in order to get something (a husband) they'll play whatever necessary role that gets them there. They are charming, seem caring but really are great actors, and their true colors come out when something doesnt do their way (thus trying to hire a hit man). Another possibility is that the child witnessed something that day and in a panicked she killed him. Dont know if she is guilty but she sure as hell making it difficult to move away from her as a suspect.
