marmel.com : Sarah Palin wrote this in the same way I can fart gold.

Oh, I disagree. If for no other reason: The Michael Jackson baby dangling metaphor. Not just anybody could have put that together. That took WORK, dude. Did you notice both pictures had red in them? There's a design ethic there! You might disagree with it, but I think - considering a nation rolled it's eyes at this - I had my own special brand of eye roll at her expense. Shame on you for peeing on my parade. You can't tear me down, dude!

Not a fool: Well, I'm Steve and I'm the author... And I voted for Obama. And I'm a conservative who slided to the left for him. I - and many others - tire of intellect and kindness being considered weak. Obama can do wrong in my eyes, and has. Not here, but he can. Can he do right by you?

lavonne - that's the past. It was fought in the court, and the "losing party" - Gore - gave up for the sake of the nation (Paraphrasing). If he had fought on, perhaps others would have. But his followers followed his lead.

Well, we agree to disagree. I think Obama did stand up for them, but he did it in a calm, smart way that inspired their people without demonizing ours. But, thanks for the typo check. Appreciated.

marmel.com : Sorry, but I think your tea party is stupid.

Wow. I lost a lot of my reply to this. So, now i need to bullet point. * I'm pretty much the same guy you knew from before. I was center right when you met me. But I believe the center right moved away from me, leaving me in the left. I didn't leave the GOP, the GOP left me. * That being said, I have probably moved sharper left on social issues - which is what happens when I meet people instead of categorizing them as types. * CNN didn't pay me for this. This is the stuff I write because I need to get it out of my head. * My biggest bone of contention is hypocrisy. Anti-spending protests in 2009 ring hollow since they didn't exist in 2007. I do not believe this "movement." And I resent the concept that Americans are being "Taxed without representation" just because the other side won. The very fact that I am here, I am rational, I try to have a sense of humor about things... these are the things that make me passionate without being a zealot. You look for nuggets in my melon, I'm trying to convince you that it's not okay that Joe the Plumber hate gays. I think we both agree that Rush Limbaugh and Wanda Sykes can both be guilty of telling the wrong joke at the wrong time. We will find common ground, dammit. It's discourse. I'm glad to have it.
