The sad part is that in my and others I've spoken to opinions, the court misinterpreted the public record law here, and CHLs will pay via increased risk of personal harm should they be published. I'll take the mail-tribune's word for now, but can anyone trust them as unerring stewards of sensitive information?

How about if PERS gets their mistake back at the far end instead of now? Or PERS just eats it: this woman is by contract due a specific benefit and should be receiving it regardless.

Nobody seems to have any common sense anymore, or any ability to use a calculator.

It was rhetorical. I do agree with you, but you have to start parenting when the kids arrive or obviously it gets ahead of where people can cope. You can't suddenly decide there's a problem when they're in their teens and expect things to work out well.

How would you as a parent keep your armed 16yr old brat under control? By the the time he's gone that far it's pretty well too late for the normal methods.
