I love those pictures. Watching kids be kids at the beach are some of my own favorite memories of watching my daughters grow up. all children do the same things in the face of surf and sand! Thanks for sharing!

It would be so easy for us to spend our entire lives planning, cooking, serving, eating, and cleaning up when it comes to feeding the family. I have a carnivore who only likes frozen peas and doesn't like tomato sauce and a vegetarian who cried when I used to serve lamb, and eats whole tomatoes the way you eat an apple. It feel as if I've given blood already this morning just thinking about what I might possibly serve tonight. I try not to appease and cater, but I know I do in wimpish attempt to avoid teen "tude."

I can't stop thinking how great it would be if I could plug up my daughters every now and then - just when they were REALLY getting on my nerves :)

I love this post and the above comment about women flocking to nunneries. I would have been right there with them - as my baby making years were incredibly challenging health wise. And as far a a chastity belt?I've got two daughters I'd like to sign up :)

I've been putting up with this policy for years.Every bureaucrat from hell thinks their job is to see how they can trip a student up, instead of dealing with real truancy issues. It also seems pretty irresponsible to be expecting sick students to come to school just because they don't have a doctor's note. It always makes me especially angry and sad for the students who have parents who don't care, or can't afford to run to the doctor every time little Johnny has flu symptoms.

I am incredibly impressed and inspired. I bought the wii active and have been doing it for a month - No huge differences yet and I doubt my cartoon trainer is anything like Tony, but I've been working hard, and shuffle around like a cowboy now. Love the disclaimers - I hate that being watched feeling :)

What does it mean that I did fall over constantly while pregnant? My theory is my feet were too small to hold me up :)

Interesting post!. I've always had a problem with most of these kind of studies because of causation versus correlation problem - that and I live with a scientist who constantly quips that 95% of statistics aren't inaccurate.

I think it's really too bad they don't stick to the same debate issues for the whole year. What a great way to wake up our many comatose young people and help them learn how to think!

I'm pretty sure I was delivered by one of this guy's students.
