In fact, I agree with you that the Catholic Church and Mainstream Protestantism both have become quite Socialistic in their views and preaching, which I personally find repugnant since I consider myself a Conservative. I see that as a primary reason why so many Americans have drifted away from both. And in the case of Catholics, the infection of the priesthood with pedophiles is especially damaging and abhorrant. However, I can separate the views, and acts, of their clergy and laypeople from the tenets of the religion of Christianity itself. One can attack those acts, just as one can attack the acts of Militant Islam, without attacking the beliefs and tenets of those religions that have survived hundreds or thousands of years.

Religion, after all, is not and should not be viewed as a political party, but rather the expression of ones relationship with God.

The days of the Middle Ages or Dark Ages have long since passed. We do not need to go to war against those beliefs, so long as they do not go to war against us, as Militant Islam is doing.

He suggests a budget, he appoints heads of agencies and cabinet, he sets the direction and tone of regulations pro or anti business, he directs his administration for the better part of 8 years, which is a generation's worth of rules and regulations that help or hinder job creation and/or business.

And how about the recent "Recess" appointments made by Obama that skirt around the authority of Congress...one of those other branches of government you speak of. What about the EPA filled with left-wing bureaucrats appointed by Democrat presidents that close down businesses and forbid the exploration, drilling and mining of our own energy in the name of some obscure "snail darter" or other species that nature was reducing in number by the process of natural selection? Or how about the NLRB appointed by Obama and Clinton that now interferes in where a corporation can do business - an unheard of power until recently?

I am not a Catholic, but I recognize a secular attack when I see one. Buchannan is absolutely correct to point out that there is an anti-Christian bias in the media and an attempt to demoralize the entire nation. Whether you like it or not, the vast majority of American citizens identify themselves as Christian, whether Catholic, Protestant or Apostolic and we are sick of being attacked for our religious beliefs. In fact, the Constitution protects our right to our beliefs.

Since when did it become OK to attack people for their Christianity, whereas it is NOT OK to attack those of other faiths such as Jews or Muslims? Nor is it OK to attack someone for the color or their skin, sexual orientation or country of origin. But it's OK to attack Christians?

That may well be because they think he is the most capable and able to save our economy and return the banks to the right and proper footing and place within the economy. Someone has to save us, and clearly Obama and Dodd/Frank has not, cannot and will not do that.

In order to fix the problem, you need someone who UNDERSTANDS it....and that man is Romney. If you need to have your appendix out, would you go to a doctor or to a veterinarian?
