I agree. There was absolutely no intention of cutting anything or reducing spending. 1Trillion is a drop in the bucket over 10 years.

All you have here is a bunch of finger pointing, meanwhile, everyone knows we can't manage our own debt. It's just a political stunt to divert attention off of failed policy. Who could have guessed?

Here comes the next round of downgrades. Then we'll have another round of money printing. Meanwhile, we'll continue to borrow at least 40+ cents on every dollar we spend, and it will be more expensive to borrow, so the deficit will continue to snowball.

Who pays it back? How can we possibly pay it back? Yeah, good questions. The solution so far is to shovel it off to future generations and pretend it's going to go away. That plan can't work for much longer, then you'll have the lenders dictating your social services cuts just like in Europe.

All you folks in NY wanted it, and voted for it -- well here you go, complements of George and Obama, and also a little antisemitic group from Canada who hates all "you Jews". Funny how the anti-racist party has all of the openly racist folks in it -- yet you vote for them every time. How silly you must feel.

You can pick up the tab for this one. Maybe you can cover it by raising your own property taxes. That will teach those evil capitalists for trying to make money by taking risks, paying taxes, and providing funds to business and start-ups that create jobs.

The Occupy Wall Street folks don't have a message. They don't have any ideas. If you ask the protesters why they are there, they don't even have a clue. After days of news coverage, all I can conclude is that they're idiots who hate "Jew Bankers" -- whatever that means....

They can't even figure out who they're protesting, or which building to protest at. This is pretty typical of liberals protesting, and their idea of a protest is to create misery for the rest of us. Closing down roads, throwing rocks at cars, property destruction -- that is their idea of a protest.

The Tea Party protests have speakers, and permits. Folks bring lawn chairs and listen. They don't shout at each other. Folks either agree with what the speaker says "crowd says yeah or applaud", or disagree "with boos". They still listen to what the speaker has to say, then the next guy gets his chance. It's the way it's supposed to be when discussing politics in public.

People even pick up their own garbage. They use the sidewalks and don't smash the windows out of your car after the event. It doesn't even cost the city anything.

The only arrests you find at the Tea Party events are the libtards acting stupid or violent.

If I wanted to hear stupid political banter, I'd watch MSNBC instead of a football game.

I can tell you first hand, the guy isn't qualified to drive a bus in any city. They do actually do a background check with anything requiring public safety, especially transportation or contact with people.

He also couldn't have driven a truck for an air-freight company I worked for. We had a contract and made stops at government contractor sites and military buildings that required background checks on everyone the company sent as part of some compliance thing.

Seriously, lying on the application would have gotten be booted from both places. How can you have a social security number that does not match the state you are born in unless you are A: witness protection program, or B: you have had your identity stolen, in which case, they will issue another number.

In the case of A:, well that would be silly to run for office if you're hiding from someone.
In the case of B: why wouldn't you just say "yeah, someone jacked my identity...what a mess...we need better laws"

Sorry, I don't buy his story. Snopes published one "certificate", Obama published another totally different one. Both of them are fabrications. This guy is a criminal.

It used to be, that you could go to Cancun and hang out there. You could go a block off the main drag and get really good cheap food and drinks. Hotels were cheap and we had fun.

You could also go down the coast to Playa Del Carmon, and the chicks could go shopping under the watchful eye of the Federalalies who would chase the drug dealers away. Oh, someone would try to sell you weed from time to time, but no big deal. All pretty harmless.

The cops were always pretty sketchy, but now the Federalalies are paid off by the cartels (and don't want to get shot themselves), and on every block, someone is trying to sell you coke including the shop keepers. It's been that way for at least three years. Don't get off the boat if the ship docks there. Nothing to see there, move along.

The resorts are still nice, but you're really taking your chances going somewhere outside your "all inclusive" and you may actually get your head cut off even if your family pays the ransom -- and they probably killed you within hours of your abduction anyway, so it's pointless for them to even try to pay these guys. Don't bother with the cops, they're in on it.

You would have thought there would have been enough money pushing the tourist industry, that they could hire their own army and pay off their own cops in select areas, but that simply isn't the case.

Avoid this entire country until they figure out this mess. It's cheap advice. Plenty of other places to go.

I bet it is "disconcerting" to have elected officials who actually are not in it for kickback schemes and local pork projects. It could actually change the way ALL of the Demokins and Republicrats do business.

I welcome the new House and Senate members, as well as a third party who will actually stand up for something other than personal greed. It's how we got into this mess in the first place. All we had before is:

"you vote for my pork project, and I'll vote for yours -- and that will be a deal we can all live with" -- except for the people paying the bills who you are supposed to represent.

I think you guys missed the point entirely. Obama needs money for his campaign, so he says to his little political slime ball supporters "hay, you guys short the oil stocks and I'll make a move next week that will glut the supply --- then we can split the profit ! What do you think?".

Hate to be a cynic, but that's really what it looks like to me. It's an odd, out of left field move with no policy behind it. Wasn't spurned by price or supply. That makes it stink to high heaven.
