IntenseDebate Notification <DIV>I prefer not to get into this stuff. I am sick of the firestorms that result. But I do not like namecalling. I find it pointless. When I read posts of people calling me a neocon or neo-Christian or neo-anything I think of those who wish to blather endlessly for no purpose than to win...what? The last word? Is that what our society has degenerated to? Road rage on the information highway? I try to better myself, to be the better man, not to prove anything to myself, but to prove that humanity can simply do a bit better if we but try. Disagreement spices our lives up, and makes all of us better, but only if we can debate constructively.</DIV> <DIV>The utterly ridiculous business of name-calling, false assumptions, and false associations only divides an already divided population all the further. I prefer a mature debate, and will not get into the petty horsesqueeze anymore. It hurts the mind, as it hurts the psyche. More people seem to care about Tiger Woods and a stupid affair than they do about the fact that our Congress-critters have just raised the ceiling on a national debt that our grandkids will have to dump on their kids, for example. Here we are pissing and moaning about a woman with a trainload of kids, who does not need the welfare system to get them by. Get the drift? Instead of dealing with real problems that require real solutions, we call each other names over frigging celebrities. I am done. I just told my wife that I am done with comment forums that do not concern important matters. As for the Duggers, I wish them well, and will even pray for their premature child. If this makes me a "neo-Christian", fine. If the shoe fits, and all of that. Sticks and stones. Spare me the crap.</DIV> <DIV>I DO, by the way, believe in Jesus. I put much more store in Him than I do the trappings of the church, but both are very important to me.</DIV> <DIV>Good day, and may you have a merry Christmas.</DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial">

This is the type of support the family needs to hear instead of all the other bashing and critisizing. I am Mike's wife , Joy , writing tonight. It hurts me to see all the condeming and bashing. thank you for being so kind.

I had posted comment earlier on what was apparently a different link. What follows is a heartfelt comment to the Dugger family.
Congratulations!
I wish your daughter well, and my family will pray for Josie to survive the tough times ahead.
I'm not a fan of your show myself, but my wife is, and we are close. I have nothing but respect for you, and I want, and will pray for, the absolute best for you.
I usually ignore comment sites, but I stuck up for you today, and got a couple of nasty emails in reply. I replied to both of them and slammed them both pretty thoroughly by using no vulgarity. My wife had to talk me out of a comment to a poster that I thought expressed me properly, but I was convinced to remove the offending line ( I was convinced that it was a low-grade curse), but she convinced me that removing it would add more power to my rebuttal. She was right. Fighting fire with water is often better than fighting it with fire, and stooping down low is never a solution.
Michelle, you should remain a proud mom, just take good care of Josie (as I know you will). Every child is a potential angel or saint, and we must not forget that lest we die, not only in body but spirit as well.
I may not still be big on the show, but I love you all as if I know you, and I pray for the best for you. This is what we are for.
Merry Christmas.

IntenseDebate Notification <DIV>Nice label, my friend. Explain, if you will, the "neo". I might just find it fascinating. Before we continue, my wife asked me to make a comment first, because she was disgusted by the comments like yours, and she's not a great writer. Neither am I, but I have the courage of my convictions. I am not hiding behind her skirts, but now that I am in this, I WILL have my say. (she will read this, and definitely approve). Friend, you have stomped on the wrong toe here.</DIV> <DIV>How DARE you paint me with a label like "Neo-Christian". What in the hell is that? What right do you have to paint me into some corner? I haven't a clue what you are talking about when you call me a "neo-Christian". Get this buzzardly business straight before you run your mouth, tongue, or keyboard. In case you haven't noticed, "restraint of pen and tongue" also applies to keyboards, Jack Rabbit. I am a Christian, but my opposition to the disgusting rants you and your ilk wish to spew about this family have little if anything to do with me. When you insult me in their name, you make me proud. </DIV> <DIV>Every human being has a right to survival, and that right begins the moment they start to develop as a human being inside the mother's womb. Choice is a buzzword and a fool's word. What do you want to call a fetus? Fish or frog? You decide. Are we as a race irresponsible for the welfare of the planet? The planet was given to us by God, and it is our responsibility to take care of it. Butdoes thatentail destroying ourselves in the process? According to people like you, it does. It's funny to discover that people like you are so hypocritical as to want everyone else to die besides yourselves. There are millions around the globe, if not billions, who likely think as you do: If 90% of the world's polulation dies, that's fine with me, as long as I'm in the 10% that doesn't.</DIV> <DIV>I don't fear death as you do. I'll be in a much better place when I go. When you go- I will pray for you, that you might understand.</DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial">

IntenseDebate Notification <DIV>Your taxes are paying for all the new social programs the Community Organizer and his cronies can dream up. Our country will be bankrupt before ten years have gone by. This family is self-sustaining, and have not taken a dime of welfare. Compare that to all of the illegal aliens who stroll into this country, demanding and receiving free (though GOVERNMENT) schooling, free food, free health care, free housing, driver licences issued without question, and having MORE kids than the Duggers. It is remarkable that when illegals have broods of kids, no one says a thing, but when born citizens do, it's a different kettle of fish altogether. As I said earlier, practice your comments in front of a mirror. Look yourself dead in the eyes, and ask yourself if you would like to be on the other side of the mirror. If the answer is yes, then rant all you want, God bless you. If you don't, then God bless you all the same. The Duggers did not seek media attention. The media sought THEM out after Michelle became pregnant with #15. This is a humble, God-loving family. I feel pity for those such as yourself who must find reason to hate in the face of love.</DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial">

God created the world FOR us. It is fascinating to listen to all of you "planet-lovers" rant about overpopulation. Would YOU volunteer to die to reduce the population? Of course not, just EVERYONE else.

I hope Michelle and Jim-Bob can find it in their hearts to forgive these posters who have spewed so much filthy, vulgar rhetoric. I suppose this is not necessary, given how they love God as they do, but I must confess I had to say it. Some of you people ought to read your comments aloud to yourself while looking in a mirror before you take them to the net. You thoroughly disgust me. The Duggers are doing what God has allowed them to do, and bless their hearts for that. My wife and I lost our first baby, and wound up with two. Now that both of them are nearly grown and one has already left the nest, I only wish I had one more to share our hearts with. You people are revolting.
God bless the Duggers and Godspeed on Josie. We will pray for her.
