I recently travelled through Ottawa's airport security and not a single person, including the guy who patted me down looked me in the eye. For a definitive answer to what airport security should be doing, read....

Jana.....the only "problem" with the Canadian health care system is when we elect right wing, neo-con provincial governments that want to "Redirect the public attention to the role of competative markets in providing for the health and education of our citizens". Translation......."we want our rich buddies (doctors etc.) to be able to make a killing off the system and then they will appoint us to their boards of directors at fat salaries, when we can't get elected anymore".

That's not a problem with the health care system, thats a problem with our democratic system.

What a shame! The new fast breeder reactors are cheap, safe and use readily available spent fuel from the old dinosaur reactors operating around the world. Too bad our politicians cannot "think outside the box" and will only consider the dinosaur reactors we all know and hate. They think a comparative bit of investment now is bad, while ignoring the horrendous costs of us arriving at the 500ppm C02 level.

Well, we've effectively gone to war with the earth, you and me and the 6 billion (and counting) people we count as our "kind". Unfortunately we can't win! Our arrogance has led us to believe that our intelligence and technology can overcome all the resources and time the earth has at it's disposal. Wake up everyone!

It's happened countless times, and not so long ago in Iran as it happens, the people cannot be resisted when they believe they are right. Many die, but the people will always prevail. As a message to the ruling class in Iran, remember this famous quote "resistance is futile, you will be assimilated".

This is not new news! James Lovelock has written about Arctic carbon being one of the feedback devices which will provide a tipping point that we may have already passed. 500 ppm will be the new watchword to a "new" world for a couple of hundred thousand years.

It sounds like Lady Shelley Sawyers isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer! In my opinion anyone who discloses so much as their true name on the internet has a lot to learn about fraud and identity theft.
