The Union Flag is the flag of the country, let it fly until the majority of the people say no. When someone is killed and their body is returned to there family wrapped in "the flag" I am sure they will be all the better for it. Take a good long hard look at your children, see what example you are setting, then make your choice, I think peace is as far off now as it ever was. Wake up and sort yourselves out.
I was always under the impression that they (Police officers) were on duty 24hrs a day, regardless as to what their roister was. Pay the man, it took a long time to recruit catholics into the service in N.Ireland and an action like this could put an end to it and by denying him his dues you are assisting the scum who carried out this atrocity reach their goal. Get your head out of your arse and pay the man.

I moved to Perth Western Australia in the early eighties, Belfast at that time was a bit of a mess (I am allowed to say that as I lived there). The state of government in this country at the moment is a joke, you have more chance of being assulted or killed in the centre of Perth than in the centre of Belfast. I get home (Belfast always home) every 12/18 months and have never felt threatend or uneasy, in fact this time last year we wert there with two Aussies and they loved it. Tell the RANGA (red Head) Julia Gillard and Wingnut Tony Abbot (the opposion leader) to get their act together, sort our Oz then the rest of the world.
