somehow I'm still tempted to buy GTA 5, I just can't stand the thought of waiting for months before it's out on Xbox One :-/

Yah, true, one has to save up especially as GTA is one of the most expensive games ever lol. It\'s breaking a lot of records besides sales figures :-P

I think the author is indeed just announcing availability. I don't feel that every article about chromebooks needs to scrutinize them deeply. Sometimes there is a need to simply announce important events and milestones to our readership.

ah yes, but those prices are for their current Xi3 PC's...the Chromium version prices are not out yet according to the company's press statement. I think the pricing will be way lower than $800 as they will be running on lower specs.

Congrats and thank you for the confirmation. At this stage it seems pretty clear what's going on. The question though is; why is Google doing this now and how many are they sending out" - This we will have to find out from Google. Hopefully there will be some sort of a statement from them soon.
