We live near Dallas so I take some pleasure in knowing our Protector President is practically a neighbor. Not to exclude Mrs. Bush in this conversation, their genuine class and knowledge of protocol shines as they go on writing their next chapters in life, quietly, even though there are sssooooooo many things that they could say about the past year. My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary yesterday, January 20th, and we recalled the way we spent last year's "Historic" Inaguration Day: standing among thousands for hours in the downtown Midland, TX waiting to welcome the Bushes home and applaud their service to our country. It's not that we want to say "I told you so," it's just that one year out, we are so happy we changed our original plans and spent that twilight evening with friends: President and Mrs. Bush.

The healing he *might* find with family is forgiveness for the acts of betrayal. The healing he could find from a source of faith will be the reason he will really "mean" what he says in the way of sorrow and apology and be able to live with himself, avert further self destruction and cruelty toward others. The game will benefit too, although it might be strictly charitable once his eyes and heart are opened to true purpose.

It was very hard to watch, but I saw it with my daughter, a recent college grad who loves entertainment and abhors current events and history. It turned out to be an effective way to have a conversation with her about the real outcomes of the welfare state and the true and continuing racism set in motion under Lyndon Johnson. Big Hollywood has been a valuable resource in building a bridge between our conservative, right-loving, pro-life home and her fear of having any overt positions on anything that matters. Thank you Charles for your article and voice of reason. How is it that we had better luck running Van Jones out of town than we are having running this guy Jennings out? I have read all the fistgate revelations and the creepiest thing is that it seems like his mission is to advance "puppie farms" of young males to feed his and the other NAMBLA types' carnal desires for years to come. Remember the bait and switch poor Pinocchio suffered on Pleasure Island? These conventions and meetings directed under his supervision seem oddly similar to me.

I listened to the NEA audio and actually wasn't surprised by all the double speak of the self important new ruling class. What shocked me the most was how it contrasts to the utter illiteracy of the ACORN associates. I naively expected an army of educated, if not brainwashed, folks like Buffy to occupy those ACORN front office jobs so they could present a facade of professional, legitimate services. I have to believe that somehow ACORN is running as a work-based rehab type operation. Rehab from what? Whatever burns brain cells permanently. A place to come to where you can hire your relatives and bring your children with you to the office so they can learn the "tricks" and perpetuate the cycle of failure. Put a tin in the backyard for your money? What chapter of the tax preparation guidebook was that in? Oh, I guess actual work related training for ACORN associates is one of the reforms Bertha Lewis had just started to look into.
