oBama practically breaks down in tears, over the plight of the uninsured person dying from cancer, with no insurance.
My heart aches for those suffering hard times, those sick with no where-with-all to pay for care. I would rather we address that in a positive manner, than make a campaign slogan out of it.
Last year the "S-CHIP" program was passed-granting medical insurance to ALL children whose families earned $75,000 a year or less. Most States have generous Medicaid coverage that covers all children (born out of wedlock) and their (unmarried) mothers, till the children are 18.
We currently have Medicare for all non-working seniors over 65. So who are all the un-insured? People between the ages of 18 and 65 who are not working for a company that offers insurance benefits, or those unable to afford the payments.
Having passed a $825 Billion Stimulus Plan (much of it unspent) last January, if the foremost concern of oBama was the health care of the people, for a mere $250 Billion he could have set up a 1 year plan for the less than 38 million uninsured citizens to have some form of supplement care. Joining this with tax cuts we could have had a healthy workforce working in a healthy economy.
Common Sense rather than Pie In The Sky Ideology needs to be the approach we all take to the problems we all face.
We currently have Hospitals, Pharmacy Companies, countless Dr.'s and other medical workers ready at the drop of the hat, to reach out and help those facing catastrophic situations in other lands. If America's Health Care is a Catastrophe then maybe it is time-- Charity Begins At Home!

Thanks.
The fetus is not 'just a mass of cells' nor is it an alien artifact. It is a developing human, a human without a defense of its own.
I wonder what would happen if a fertility clinic where to burn down, would all the stored fertilized eggs be considered loss of life?

I believe the Marines made an EXception for Murtha--for his words and actions he was allowed to become an EX-Marine.
