This is typical of Hollywood Insiders! Maher is portrayed as a hip political intellectual when he is nothing more than a B-actor and political lightweight. I presume the next idiotic statement from him will be the only Lenin he ever heard of sang with the Beatles. Some people put these guys on pedestals as if they are great intellectuals, when in fact we know nothing of their educational backgrounds. Where did Maher and Michael Moore go to school, to develop such keen insight? Wherever it was Moore would have been better served to have studied nutrition. Few if any of these people have college degrees, but they have something far more powerful and important and that is they have the air-waves and a media that hates America.
Remember, Matthews is "old School" having been a pont man for Democrat congressional leader Tip O'Neal. So this is the question, is Matthews correct, that you need to press flesh to win. Or have we come to a time and place where people never meet face to face, and we entrust our fates to computer screens? Also note, Obama is arrogant beyond belief, and if you read his books you can see that he is not even fond of white folks. So is his arrogance and disgust with his inferiors the reason he avoids congress? Or is it because if he has to bump heads with these men and women he will see he is not as smart as he has been lead to believe.
I don't know about you, but I will make it a point to avoid the Big Apple! The thought of a municipal government having the authority to take down an airplane is disturbing to me and it should be to everyone.
This generation will not tolerate a draft. As a veteran of Vietnam, I came from a generation that had parents who were in WWII. My parents believed that military service was part of being an American for a male reaching age 18. The young people of today do not have that parental guidance, nor do they have our level of patriotic ferver. Today people see us as part of a World Economy and Vision. The days of my country right or wrong, are gone and not returning. The entire anti-war movement in that era was not because Vietnam was wrong, it was simply because they did not want to serve and give time of their life.
In addition to the Civil Rights issue raised by this action, add the Safety Issue. How would someone who is the victim of a crime or witness to a crime be able to summon help? What if the train was to experience a fire or malfuntion, how would passengers summon help? I understand that the U.S. Constitution does not assure the right to cell phone use, but it also does not state that a government agency has a right without court order to interfere with private/personal communication devices. Is this not some form of federal offense, as an interference with telecommunication?
"Rev. Al" is consistant with the bias that NBC and CBS have long held. As a matter of fact, hiring the "Rev." may have been a great idea, because now many of us will watch his show for entertainement and comic relief. Except, is he really funny when you consider he incited a riot in New York that resulted in the death of an innocent person. Then he led the lynch party that tried to get the students in the Duke Lacrosse scandal. And of course remember the Tawana Brawley hoax, for which he never apologized? When you study this man's career, it is clear that he is a Racist, liar and politically bias. This is beyond Affirmative Acttion and somebody needs to complain to the FCC.
We desperately crave a Reagan like figure to save us and were mislead by the likes of Ms. Coulter to believe that the N.J governor was the answer. Unfortunately, every time he speaks he pisses off another group of Conservatives. Add to that his physical appearance, potential health issues and vague ties to Muslim extremists, and it is clear that this guy is a waste of time and money. He is unelectable. Nothing here to see, move along.
Sharpton is a Racist and a Clown who has managed to muscle the Democrat Party and the Media. Consider that he led anti-semetic riots in New York that resulted in the death of innocent people. Then on one of the many occasions he ran for President, he was allowed to participate in a candidate debate, as if he was legit. Now they put him up as a quasi-journalist, while he refers to himself as "da ole reverent"! The Mainstream Media cannot be trusted, and we should not wast our time watching it. First it was the newspapers, now the mainstream media; both of whom have lost the right to respect or belief from the public. Sharpton is the N@#%#$ that MSNBC deserves, he really is a House N@#%%@# and Ho!
