I hope they do "rebrand" themselves, though it would be more meaningful if they actually reformed the party back towards Conservative values. If they don't, we are condemned with Liberal/Leftist tryanny. Worse yet is the idea of a third party. All that does is split the vote of those on the Right, and aids the Left. The only way there can be a viable third party is if it starts at local and state elections, builds into Congress, and saves going for the presidency until it actually holds a sizabe number of seats in the House and Senate. How many on here actually have the patience for that? Not many i would suspect.
Hardly anything new here. The radical left hated Cheney because he was a successful business man in the God-Forbid demon industry of oil. Yet he had a strength of character few politicians ever have, which appeals to many. Nobody cared for Biden during his run for office, so why would they like him now? His purpose is the same as Cheney's was: to give the President the appearance of wise advise. Cheney could pull it off because he was experienced and strong. Biden can't do it because he is weak and an idiot. Obama has an ego problem, so Biden will only be drawn when obama needs an old statesman-like look for a kodak moment.
I think it is more our own fault than anything else. Right-leaning people tend to want to work and be left alone. We, in general, are not that politically active (till recently). If the economy improves, how many here will still be motivated to protest? When the Republican Party started leaning left back in the 90's, why were we too complacent? Now we risk splitting the Repub. party even more, which makes it more likely the Dems/Left will stay in power. It is political action that is needed. If Acorn is padding numbers, then protesting in front of their offices should be done, ie, spotlight and force investigation. Get in the face of your Representatives. Physically get in their face, anything else they can ignore. Go to rallies; FIND the time to do these things! Activety and education is the only way to turn our country from the path of destruction the lemming Left are taking us.
Obama was on his " Submissive and apology" tour. Everything is staged at these events, so he knew about the book in advance. Hussein Obama wanted to show the world just how humble he could be, and give him credit, he is thought of as a weak-knee gullible President. Unfortunately, many Americans like that position in our President, so only time will tell if he needs to stiffen his spine. The US Seal should be changed to Obama on bended knee, lips forward, and an ass about to be kissed.
If Obama can act like he got 100% of the vote when he didn't, ie, do whatever he wants and tell anyone who opposses it to "stuff it", then Texas can do the same. You might have a liberal in the Whitehouse, but at least half the country would be gone. Pyrrhic victory. You should be loyal to the Constitution, not whomever is in the Whitehouse.
Got to love the spunk of Texas girls! If you texans actually do secede, you would not be alone. I think a number of states would follow suit. Also think Texas would draw a huge number of people willing to defend her. The motto of many an early northeasterner was "live free or die"- something you Texans truly understand. Maybe if this radical regime we have today ruling in Congress and the Presidency were shaken by the threat of secession, they would drop their arrogant march towards fascism. Go Texas!
Agree with you Dave. My state of NY has one of the worst credit ratings of any state because of years of incredibly bad management. It's NY's problem and should not receive any federal money. As you said, NC should not be bailing out NY. NY is 2 billion dollars short this year so what did it do? Raise spending by another 9%. Makes me so DAMN mad! What i would like to see happen next is a march on every state capital on July 4th. Easier for people to get to than DC, and would be very impressive to get 10-20 thousand at every capital building. PR wise would be harder for the Left to portray it as an Obama-only hate march. Save the big march on DC for next year at the 4th, so as to keep people inflamed come November's election.
I hear many numbers Skrag, but also believe the total count is being low-balled. The smallest local party in my region had 200 people at it, but it was in a small town at 11 in the morning. An average of around 1,000 is probably fairly close. I have heard of 800 national parties, which would give a range of 800,000 to 1.6 million ( using your number). If this range is accurate, the turnout was HUGE for something like this just starting. And it has to be these higher numbers if only from the reaction from the radical Left. They would ignore it if it was only a handful of people as being currently claimed.

YES! This is a clear victory for our Liberty-loving side! They first tried to ignore our growing grassroots movement and pretend it wasn't even there. Now this boob from ill, as well as other Left-wing politicians and media need to lie and ridicule to try to stamp it out. When they reach this point a nerve has been tweaked. They are beginning to be scared that there could be a political movement they can't control. And loved the bit we should be happy, "Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year." Thank you Master for not whipping me today! The common cause was abusive, monolithic government, the loss of Liberty, regardless of form. Victory is sweet, but sweeter yet is the lamentation of elitist politicians!
