For the life of me I do not understand the mindlessness of conservatives when it comes to near monopoly acquisitions that go on here. I believe competition drives down costs and increases innovation. That is what happened when AT&T was broken up under Reagan in 1984. Before that, calls were very expensive in all three types, local, local long distance and long long distance. There was no competition, service was poor and innovation was an afterthought. After the breakup, calling plans reigned, old land lines began changing to fiber networks, etc. People win when there is competition, not near monopoly status of companies.

This is all about the mega farms inoculating their cattle to get the most milk possible, it is about killing bacteria that should NOT be a problem if the cows were properly handled. Because of the factory farm poor quality milk is pasteurized to make it available for public consumption. Proper treatment of animals is costly, not allowing the milk from sick animals to enter the same tanks as those that are healthy is also costly and that is why these laws were originally written. There have been cases of Listeria in PASTEURIZED milk, this has happened more often than it has been reported in Raw milk. Here is a link to a google search on the subject: http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&fr=cr... I want the right to be able to eat whatever foods I deem is healthy. BTW, homogenized milk is hazardous to your heart! Seems the milk fat is made so small that it passes right into your blood stream, while non-homogenized milk fat globules are big and are digested as food. You guys, AGAIN, SARAH PALIN SHOWED THEY DO NOT WANT TO DRILL, THEY WANT TO KEEP CRUDE SUPPLIES SLIM TO EEK OUT THE MOST PROFIT. THEY ARE HURTING THE MIDDLE CLASS, BUT YOU ARE BLIND TO IT. THEY HAVE GOVERNMENT COLLUSION ON PRICE FIXING (notice there is only a cent, if any, difference at your local stations), THEY DON'T LIKE COMPETITION IN THE EXTRACTION (OF CRUDE) MARKET BECAUSE COMPETITION DRIVES DOWN PRICES AND WOULD ENHANCE INNOVATION.
It is amazing the group think here. You are not making a lot of sense. You like Wal-Mart because of the low prices and their ability to get others in the same market to lower their prices as well. HOWEVER, you like big oil because they limit supply and drive up prices and get the government of each state to pass a law that the price at a gas station must be within 2 cents of all other gas stations in a given geographical area "to preserve product flow", (when in fact, that law was passed so that independents could not sell their product for 25 cents or more cheaper than the big boys were selling at the time (late 1970's and early 80's is when these laws were passed) to put the independents out of business and lessen competition. I say PUMP MORE, and make Big Oil have to start relying on margins again.

This is why I hate the liberal way. They are disingenuous, they believe it is just fine to go after right leaning people and organizations, but there is something evil with using THEIR TACTICS to go after left individuals and organizations? He makes accusations against FOX but does not give ONE example.

FIRST OFF, MOST OF THE TAXES BIG OIL CLAIMS TO PAY IS ACTUALLY TAXES THEY PASS ALONG FROM YOU ARE PAYING AT THE PUMP, THE COMPANIES ARE, IN FACT, A MIDDLE MAN BETWEEN YOU AND THE GOVERNMENT.
Now, I don't know who is in charge at BigGovernment, but someone is intentionally NOT getting the message. Obama is doing BIG OIL BIDDING. PROOF, you ask? SARAH PALIN PROVED IT! How? Exxon was "lease sitting" on the North Slope oil field. Why? Because to develop it would HURT THEIR PROFITS, due to the Oil Cartel method of keeping supplies lean. But Exxon had a cover story, they held the leases for more than 20 years, but REFUSED TO DEVELOP IT, Sarah Palin called them on it, and threatened to pull their leases, in fact two of their leases at the Point Thompson field were revoked by the State of Alaska due to her recommendation at the end of the Murkowski administration. Exxon had to develop it or they would lose more, just the mention of them actually drilling sent oil prices tumbling, at a time when gasoline prices were above $3 per gallon, that sank them back to $2 per gallon, and Exxon's and all other Oil companies profits went down due to the excessive amounts of crude on the market. Then along comes someone to do their bidding in the disguise of ENVIRONMENTALISM, the total ban on development the Obama administration placed on it. What happened to Exxon's profits with a leaner crude supply? Just look at their last quarter.
Now some will argue that it is in the interest of the share holders of Exxon Stock for them to make the most profit they can. That may be true, but for most of us who do not own Exxon Stock, it is hurting our ability to buy other goods and services which would help the economy. I guess the greed is good mentality is alive and well in the Oil Market. But what about what is just? God has something to say about an uneven scale, He calls it an abomination. Why? It hurts others ability to buy more with their money. You say, how does this compare with an uneven scale? When Oil Companies engage in subterfuge by paying politicians to make laws that undercut the people they are suppose to be representing, when oil companies sit on leases so that oil will be in short supply, and when they take subsidies form the taxes of people that they are gouging, that is an uneven scale.
I do not have proof, but I suspect very highly, that big oil companies make contributions to the very environmental groups that are opposed to drilling as well. It helps their bottom line!

If a man will not work, neither should he eat. 2nd Thes. 3:10 When talking about pouring an expensive ointment on Jesus, Judas Iscariot said it should be sold and the proceeds given to the poor, Jesus said, "The poor are always with us" and allowed it to be poured on him.
I think liberals would have a problem with Jesus.

go to "the Joy Cardine" show on facebook and weigh in on this. She is doing her level best to try to do Prosser damage as it seems all of Wisconsin Public Radio. They claim they broke the story, when in fact the Soros funded group on the media spoonfed it to them. So far Bradley has claimed he choked her, then recanted that story to he would have choked her if he had more time.
