Let's say - AGAIN - that it's wrong to wish anyone hurt or death, even if I don't like or agree with them, and yes, I did find this rather offensive, and stated thus. I am NEVER silent about anything-I am quite sure my husband can attest to that-and I'm quite sure I don't feel a need to spew personal attacks, like too many on here do. I guess we're done with this now. Or at least I am. Now, everyone can get back to their little lives, much calmer and saner, now. : ) How does my kid say it? - Yeah, I'm SOOOO over it.

Now that that's all cleared up, I'll direct this to LiberalHypocrit, who really wrote the only response worth addressing further - you are correct, in that I didn't clarify enough (for the masses, I guess) where I stood on each circumstance of this issue. However, as said earlier, I did clearly state I thought the whole idea was tacky and uncalled for, and that I was simply assuming why people at Onion thought it was all right to do. I do, Liberal, appreciate your rather intelligent response, along with your clarification as to why you said what you did. However, the rest of this is very typical reactionary commentary that unlike yourself, seem to have a hard time reading past their noses, and I'm really tired of wasting time on this issue.

Interesting how all of you have decided that you know how "people like Lissa" are simply because I didn't cover every iota of this subject in my short little responses to this inane subject. Interesting how you also assume that, because every possibility isn't addressed in my response, that you automatically discern EXACTLY what I meant, or didn't mean. Guess what? It ISN'T okay for people on the left to make those kinds of comments, and I said just that in a reply to another comment. Because I didn't address it in THIS comment does not mean you have any idea what I mean or think. (And I couldn't even begin to justify pi; I suck big wong at all things mathematical.) Plus, and this is directed to another response accusing me of such things as anti-semitism, my mom's family was Jewish, dude - wrong-o, yet again. (Where he came up with that tirade, I've no clue.)

Nope, not at all - though it might not be a bad suggestion. : )

Dude, calm down. I'm shocked, since you "sound" intelligent enough, that you missed COMPLETELY that I didn't at all say it was right to make fun of anyone's death. Even those boneheads. I merely said, I can understand why that sort of humor is being used, not that it should be. I never, ever wished for even the Shrub and company's demises; simply that they would stop.

Interesting that because of a comment made on a web page, that you assume you know any of what I do or do not see or understand. As I said, Sparky - maybe calming down should be your next task, and then getting a grip on what you THINK you know regarding other people. You've not a clue, at all, what equity I do or do not see.

Such clever repartee. (Go ahead, look the word up. I'll wait.)

Interesting I find most of these response notifications in my junk mail. Makes sense.

Gee, SGT - someone disagrees with the guy, and are tired of his crap, that means they are "afraid" of him? Not even. They are just simply - oh, what was that now? Tired of him. The guy doesn't evoke fear, he evokes disgust, and people are sick of his (and all of FOX's) messages of hate and bigotry, and constant refusal to do anything to cooperate with anyone other than themselves. (Like some guy said up there, big deal, that 3,000,000 watch him; they also watch silly and trashy "reality" shows, and Springer, et al, and none of them are worth the celluloid, as well.) It's been going on for years at FOX, and Beck is just the newest manifestation. The whines at the conservative end of it is simply because they aren't "at the top", anymore. When their boy had control, no problem. Get over yourselves, the rest of the country is learning it, finally.

Interesting that what you accuse the Onion of doing is the EXACT thing Republicans seem to have become - so full of hate they forget everything else. Anyone else missing that point? It's pretty obvious to most people I talk to.

I agree with Ben, in regard to the conservatives doing their "wah wah" thing, though I also agree completely with SweetPea2 (sorry for your loss, that's gotta be very tough), in that losing someone in an automobile accident should never be used as fodder for humor, even IF it's Glenn Beck. Maybe they could just make him explode...Or implode might be more appropriate.

He is an idiot, and those who defend him are as mean-spirited, bigoted, and absolutely laughably ludicrous as he is. No one is afraid of him; just tired of him.

:) Trust me, it takes a lot more than comments on a web page to rock my anything, let alone my world.

And guess what? You were not the only one who wrote comments on the story - so, I was actually addressing someone else's comment! Fancy that, that it really WASN'T all about you. No, really.

You impress me, though - you actually said something kind regarding people - I guess there IS hope for mankind. Thanks for reinforcing. (Honestly, I DO agree with your assessment of checking the panic; not so much about your way of conveyance. O, well - the world has room for all folks' opinions.)
