I'm looking forward to reading this one. I love the Victorian era and with Albert's death there was kind of a huge fascination with death during that era. What an awesome sounding book! I haven't read any of her books yet although I've heard they are awesome. I love the Victorian period and how her heroine isn't royalty or high born but a hard working woman. I also love the mystery aspect. So cool. Thanks for the giveaway! I'd love to read this one. I loved both of those books too. Smudge from The Uninvited Guests was a runner up for memorable character. The Elegance of the Hedgehog was great too. I didn't understand that some people didn't like it. If you want another fun book from Europa Editions (the publishers of The Elegance of the Hedgehog) try Margherita Dolce Vita by Stefano Benni - I loved the character of Margherita (http://libraryofmyown.blogspot.com/2009/07/margherita-dolce-vita-stefano-benni.html)

Thanks! He loves climbing up on the couch with a book. Unfortunately one of our Christmas gifts was a new couch (oh so awesomely comfortable) but it's too tall for him to climb up. He even babbles and pretends to read them. It's so cute.

Wasn't it just amazing? I've got Thirteen Reasons Why on my shelf to read as well. I've got to choose a time when I'll be ok crying into the pages. I agree, YA is so different than when we were young. I think it's awesome.

I agree that while at the end I was doing this !!!! and wanted to chuck the book a bit, I ended up liking out how she ended it. Made it a bit more spooky not knowing. She is a great writer and I can't wait to read more of her books.
