several have mentioned Safeway and how they give discounts for not smoking etc. The discount cards we use in our supermarkets are being used in Ireland and other places to track what citizens buyt. The health care system in Europe is using that buying history to tell people they will not give them care for heart disease or high blood pressure etc. because they don't eat right. As Glenn has said we have to start looking past step one.____

You asked who pays. Not the US Government. The US Taxpayer... As for no rationed care. Yes Medical does ration care. Ask anyone who has had to leave the hospital early because Medicare wouldn't cover any more cost. I'm sure many on the list may have expamples.

When visiting cousins in Ireland a couple of years ago. A profound statement was made by one of them.
"If you think your health care is expensive now, wait until it is free"! They shared the stories of how many
of them were not getting health care anymore, due to age, eating habits, weight problems, etc. They are very unhappy with the systems in place and would give anything to have our free market health care. Because as they explained it,
when they are turned away they cannot get any health care unless they have the money to leave the country and go private.
