YES! I have cracked it, after 2 more delicious attempts the texture and its ability to stand up were perfect. The answer...3tsp of gelatine dissolved in 3tbsp of water. It looked exactly like the picture :D Weird that it took 1 more spoonful in mine than yours. Maybe just the brand of gelatine. I'm not sure, but I'm a very happy panna cotta lover. Now I just sit back and wait for your Creme Brulee recipe...there is one, isn't there???????

Not as fool proof as I'd hoped, but then again I had no condensed milk, the wrong type of sugar, the thermometer only went up to 100c and I managed to spill water into the finished product whilst waiting for it to cool in the pan...so it never looked hopeful! Was pretty tasty sugary slop though! I will try again once I've been shopping. At least the Valentines thought was there!

So...panna cotta is one of my all time favourite desserts and I could hardly believe an 'easy' recipe appearing on here for me to try. Its taken me a while but I did finally make it last weekend and you weren't wrong, it was easy and it was definitely delicious! The only problem was it collapsed to half its height as soon as it was out of the ramekin...is that normal? I wondered if I needed a little more gelatine, but I think that might spoil the texture. Just thought I'd seek your expert advice!

You're a genius, I would never have thought to do this and wouldn't have known where to start either. but off i went to ALDI, bought 3 large chickens for £2.99 each and set to work with the laptop in front of me. It was actually surprisingly easy (apart from my rather rubbish knife) and i was amazed at the sheer pile of meat i had at the end or less than a tenner! Now you just need to tell me what to do with the pints and pints of chicken stock that i've made... oh and when we were eating a couple of the breasts for tea, Samuel announced "mummy cut bones out, just like Nick" priceless!

so be honest, is your patience when Archie is 'pulsing' the magimix just for the camera? or are you genuinely just that patient with him all the time?! cake looks great, we make a very similar recipe here, never have managed to make it last long enough to put in the fridge for 24 hours to see if it really is better!!

I've been searching for a good satay recipe to cook for my hubby who has a bit of a thing for it. I've definately found it!! This is DELCIOUS! The boys were meant to get leftovers the day after, but there was none left!!!!!! This is going to become a regular in our house. Just 2 quick things...any tips on where to get the coconut milk? Our Tesco had the AMOY one and it was £1.93 (shocked face). Is it always that expensive? Also, without sounding like a nagging follower...the lime is still missing from the ingredients list. Thanks Nick, keep up the good work. Your late night editing is very much appreciated in our household by both the adults and children!

sooooo good! the lamb was so tender it was hard to lift them out the dish without it falling off the bone =). i served the lamb with mostly roast veg as thats whats goes down best with the boys. massive hit with both adults and kids, in fact I've never seen our 8 month old eat as much =). Plus the house smelt amazing when it was cooking! keep these recipes coming, they're fab!

Well this is the first recipe we tried from the website and all 4 of us loved it! The first crayfish for both of the boys! Now I have to be honest and say I didn't exactly follow the recipe exactly, not having creme fraiche, passata or dill (insert embarrassed face) but a blitzed tin of toms, some double cream and some parsley did the trick. Will endeavour to try again with correct ingredients! I just have to ask, how does Archie manage spaghetti/linguine? Samuel does manage to eat it but just gets it EVERYWHERE! Its one of the the few things where he simply resorts back to his hands!
