Hey, be nice to Apple employees. My roomie still isn't speaking in full sentences. He wanders thorough the apartment like a used corn husk. The lines were just as long today as they have been for the past few day, but they had about a fourth of the staff. His store actually sold out of all of their iPhones. The staff nearly cried with relief. If anyone needs to be reamed, it's AT&T. Roomie was saying how this big of a failure in services might constitute a breach of contract (it has at the very least soured relations) and mayhaps we'll see a second cell phone sercive pop up sooner than later. So that's fun.

Poor guy came home last night at eight PM with a glazed look in his eye, walked quietly into his room and shut the door. I didn't see him for two hours, when he finally emerged for food and companionship.

My roommate works at Apple and he had to go in at 5AM this morning to deal with people camping out. They got there last night around 9PMish with tents. He also had the new software on his iPhone and proceeded to show me every single application to me over enchiladas. No matter how bored I managed to make my face look, he would NOT shut up. I get it. It's super cool. Heck, I own a Mac and love it to death but I just can't care about the iPhone. I tried really hard. But every time Apple comes out with an even more integrated piece of whatnot, I can't help thinking we're getting closer and closer to Cybermen from Doctor Who. And I was in the process of telling him this when his iPhone crashed and he almost started crying. And I rested my point.

WKDF, a radio station in Nashville, took great delight for years in inserting their call letters into any song that said "radio" with a favorable light. It was annoying as hell.

We went to see Shouka (read: a crappy Shamu) at a water park here in California. They had a car commercial play during the dolphin opening act. Also much booing.

The part I went to was probably 75% Mexican, 15% Black, 5% White, and 5% Lebanese. It was also 96% gay. Those numbers alone show what a great country this is. Even when it sucks, I love America. Oh, and there was a moon bounce.

They did that same, use-real-humans thing in Happy Feet and I thought people had learned their lesson. Putting real things in fake things makes the fake things look faker. I think that's a stated law of animation.
